Not transparent

I signed up because I was offered $20 to give to a charity. Great, right? It was only AFTER I signed up that I learned that I had to pay for a subscription in order to give the $20. Had I known this I would not have downloaded the app. I will delete it.

Response from developer

Hi Alana, André, co-founder here. Fair point, and thank you for raising this. Quick clarification: on Ritmo the monthly subscription is the donation. It's your giving amount, not a fee to unlock giving, and the $20 is a credit on top of that. You're the first to flag that this wasn't obvious enough at sign-up, so we've made the wording clearer. I also reached out to you directly to sort it out. Really appreciate you taking the time. This is how we make Ritmo better!

Truly, Making Giving Easier 🏆

To me, Ritmo is a champion in the work that they’re doing. I myself have not seen a team that is so dedicated to understanding the user experience and making sure that they iterate in a positive direction.

That said, I’m really eager to see how this app develops. For someone who is Gen Z or a very tech savvy millennial, this type of giving is a form that feels more native to a society that is chronically online. It also shows that are giving does it need to be a lump sum that we contribute at the end of the year or for milestone moments. I love how this naturally becomes part of one’s lifestyle and patterns of contribution.

Looking forward to what’s next with the app! As someone who has committed my life to the mission of improving the world we live in, I sincerely believe that this organization is on an upward trajectory to do good and have us participate in that benevolent work.

Shout out to the founding team, as a user, it was a privilege getting to know them thus far because of how much they value the user experience.

Response from developer

Thanks for taking the time to write all this out and for being an early adopter! It means a lot to us. The lump-sum-at-year-end thing is exactly what we were trying to get away from, so it's good to hear the daily version actually lands that way. Best, Gui

Awesome app!

Great idea and well executed. Really intuitive

Response from developer

Thank you very much! Glad that you enjoy the app.

Great way to donate!

I’ve really enjoyed using Ritmo. It’s an easy and trustworthy way to support good causes without having to spend a lot of time or money. The platform makes giving simple and convenient, allowing you to make a positive impact without taking too much time out of your day. It’s super convenient and fits easily into your daily routine. Right now, most of the causes are based in Colorado, so I’d love to see more local causes added in other areas. Overall, it’s a great app for anyone looking for a simple way to give back and make a difference.

Response from developer

Really glad it's fitting into your day without much friction. And point taken on wanting more nearby, we're adding new causes all the time, so you should see the mix keep growing and getting more local. Thanks for flagging it! Best, Gui

Easy to support causes I care about!

Have struggled to put the time or energy towards giving back. Ritmo makes easy to find nonprofits that align with my values and they are vetted so I know my money is actually making a difference.

Response from developer

Hey Matt, that's exactly the idea: caring about stuff shouldn't cost you time you don't have. The vetting matters to us as much as it clearly does to you, so good to know it's landing. Means a lot to a small team. Guillaume
