Not accessible for the blind

No developers of this app I am writing this review anyways though I have a feeling you may or may not respond to it probably not based on the topic of this review as you can tell by the title, I am a blind user writing it and this app is totally not accessible. I use Apple‘s built-in accessibility feature voiceover. VoiceOver is a screen reader software that reads text on the screen and if the app provides provides image descriptions it also reads those two blind people navigate voiceover by swiping on the screen for example one finger swipe left goes to the previous item. One finger swipe right goes to the next item one finger double tap Select the item a three finger swipe up goes to the control center. A three finger swipe down goes to the notification center, and on iPhone without a home button one finger swipe up from the bottom of the phone where the charging port is that goes to the home screen And if you swipe up even further, it’ll go to the app switcher and it seems like app developers either don’t care about app accessibility or just overlook it and don’t think about it but the truth is if a blind person wants to use this app or if you want blind people to use your app you’re gonna have to make your UI simpler And make buttons labeled for example, if the app has ads either get together with your advertisers or do something with the apps you want to make the close button in the ads more visible because there are some apps that have ads where the ad literally takes up the whole screen, and VoiceOver won’t read the close button Because the buttons have to be big enough and on some apps and websites the close button for an ad is super small. I hope you guys get this review and take my my request in the consideration because the idea of raising an AI powered cat from a tiny kitten who can’t talk to a fully grown cat sounds great Because honestly, I thought it was going to be a chat. GPT kind of like pet but I’ll tell you exactly what I did when I launch the app for the first time and ask for permission to send notifications. I clicked allow then it gave me the pop-up that said our app wants to say free and it just said it it gave me a permission to allow it to track activities Then then after I clicked allow my phone just froze up and VoiceOver just froze up

Response from developer

Hello Virtual pet lover 2008, First of all, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for taking the time to share your experience and for helping us see something we had unfortunately overlooked. We genuinely did not realize how much accessibility support was needed, and thanks to your thoughtful and detailed feedback, we now truly understand its importance. We are deeply sorry that Ritty was not accessible to you and caused frustration. As a small startup, it may take us some time to fully address accessibility improvements, but please rest assured that we will carefully consider your feedback and work to make the app more inclusive. If you could kindly reach out to us at hello@sam-meows.com, we will keep your contact and make sure to let you know once improvements have been applied. Once again, thank you so much for your interest and support for the Ritty app. Your feedback gives us the chance to do better, and we are truly grateful. With heartfelt appreciation, The Ritty Team
