About
A Place of Healing.
Rivendell is a private companion for moments when you want to understand what you feel and find a next step. Explore an interactive feelings wheel, make a gentle check-in, or choose a practice that fits your needs and the time you have.
A PLACE TO BEGIN
Name your feelings in your own words. Reflect on thoughts, needs, and possible next actions. You can save a draft and return when you are ready.
HELP IN THE MOMENT
Use five short, optional paths for grounding, urges, self-kindness, anger, or feeling numb. These paths do not require writing or create a journal entry.
PRACTICE AT YOUR OWN PACE
Choose from 102 original guided practices across fifteen areas of recovery and everyday care. Interactive tools help you rehearse a boundary, consider a choice, compare care options, and plan a gentler week. Every practice can be paused or skipped.
YOUR OWN REFUGE
Keep chosen practices, personal words, and a support plan close. Save reflections in a local journal and choose to export a copy as PDF or plain text.
RESEARCH AND DIFFERENT RECOVERY PATHS
Explore the sources behind the library and 44 resources organized into nine categories. Rivendell welcomes different beliefs and recovery paths. The exercises are independently written and are not endorsed or validated by the referenced organizations. External resources may have their own fees or accounts; every practice inside Rivendell is free.
PRIVATE, OFFLINE, AND FREE
No account. No advertising, tracking, subscription, or in-app purchases. The practice library works offline. Journal entries stay in the app's storage on your iPhone, with no server or cloud sync. Optional app lock uses Face ID or your device passcode.
You decide whether to open an external source or export your words. Those websites and exported copies are outside Rivendell's privacy controls. The journal is excluded from backups, so deleting the app or losing your phone can permanently remove your entries. Export a copy if you want to keep one elsewhere.
Rivendell offers educational reflection tools. It does not diagnose, treat, monitor, or provide emergency care, and the app has not been clinically validated. Use qualified professional support for specialized needs. Urgent-help links currently identify services for the US and its territories.
