Works Great

This app was an absolute lifesaver for our road trip through Arizona this week! The CarPlay feature worked flawlessly with the rig we rented, making navigation a breeze. It completely elevated our experience as we explored the beautiful parks around Tucson.

Really becoming everything I hoped for.

UPDATE

Going to leave my original review below to showcase just how much Matt has done to improve his product.

EVERY issue I noted has now been resolved. The product is much more user-friendly and a lot safer with the added protections for dirt roads and “no truck” areas.

Only tried it out in my car so far but will come back after our next big trip in a few weeks with more updates.

I wanted to love this but it just isn’t ready for production yet.

1. On CarPlay the directions as to the next turn are horrible and confusing. Often displaying turn right in 3.8 miles with the name of the road two turns ahead not the correct turn.

The time and miles to destination always shows the final destination even when headed to a fuel or overnight stop. Wasted time creating a whole multi day trip only for it to show my final destination arrival for 3 days.

2. If the phone locks the CarPlay stops updating. It sat there multiple times for 20 miles showing the same distance to the next turn. You have to keep the app open and running with the screen unlocked on the phone all the time.

3. If you change to any other app on CarPlay Navigator does not stay in the last accessed list on the left. You have to dig through the screen and open it again.

4. On the phone the app is pretty much useless while navigating. The bottom menu opens and won’t close easily.

5. Used it for routing a trip through PA, WV and VA. Sent me on multiple roads marked no trucks. Even sent me down a one lane dirt road that was blocked. Luckily I checked its guidance before heading out.

6. The process of “validating” a route each time takes forever. It was horrible coming out from getting fuel and having to start the routing all over again.

I really hope the developers make some improvements and maybe I’ll try again another time.

Response from developer

Thanks for the detailed feedback — this is genuinely useful. The truck-restriction routing miss and the CarPlay "next turn" display issue are the two we're prioritizing; routing an RV/trailer down a blocked one-lane road is exactly the kind of thing our restriction-avoidance logic should catch, so that one's going straight to the top of the list. We are adding truck-restriction avoidance in v1.4.6. Hope you'll give it another shot once these land.
