Road Ranger helps you prepare for a road trip with practical route comparisons, a personal traveler and vehicle profile, and a Ranger Report that distinguishes known facts from conditions that still need checking. PLAN YOUR TRIP Choose your starting point, destination, departure, and Trip Style: Fastest, Safest, Relaxed, Lowest Cost, Scenic, or Balanced. Compare available routes on a map with estimated driving time, distance, and explained tradeoffs. Keep your 20 most-recent starting points and destinations on your device. YOUR RANGER REPORT Review trip-specific advisories and a preparation checklist. See your planned departure and estimated arrival with explicit break and overnight assumptions. Review counts show what you have acknowledged; they are not a safety score. Planned departure is not an optimized departure recommendation. Find named fuel, charging, lodging, and rest options along the route and save selected stops to your trip. Reviewing an advisory is separate from adding a stop. Saving a place does not make a reservation or verify opening hours, charging compatibility, availability, or permission to sleep there. PERSONALIZE YOUR PLANNING Quickly set up your vehicle type, driving limits, rest preferences, towing, and pets. Add optional vehicle details when useful. Enter full-tank or full-charge range and see the separately calculated range at your current fuel or charge level. Vehicle naps and overnight vehicle rest require a separate choice for each trip and verification of local restrictions and conditions. INSPECT YOUR ROUTE Expand the map to pan, zoom, and inspect available alerts. Compare route alternatives before choosing a navigator. Reported work zones from participating public transportation feeds and National Weather Service information are shown when available. Missing or unverified route-level evidence is disclosed, not treated as an all-clear. ASK YOUR ROUTE Ask by text or optional voice about route distance, driving time, fuel calculations, weather, road work, and places to stop. Known route facts and deterministic calculations run on the iPhone, show their scope or arithmetic, and do not require an AI purchase. Live-source answers depend on service availability. CONTINUE WITH YOUR NAVIGATOR Choose Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze for turn-by-turn guidance. Apple Maps and Waze recalculate from supported destinations; Google Maps can receive limited shaping checkpoints. Road Ranger explains these limits before the handoff and does not promise to transfer an exact route. No account is required. This release does not sell AI credits, subscriptions, or other digital purchases.
