Useless
Registration is painful, invasive on your iPhone settings, but worst of all it cannot simply playback any of the Dashcam videos or download them. The entire point of the app itself is to do this, and it simply can’t. It freezes and never downloads or plays back.

Does not work well with my IPhone
I have had nothing but issues from the first time setting it up on my IPhone. Every time I open the app, I am prompted to download and update which takes a long time. Now I can’t even download any clips because it gives me a connection failed error. I will be looking for another dashcam that is more user and IPHONE friendly.

Uninstalled Immediately After Reading the Fine Print
I downloaded this app thinking it was a simple utility to access my dashcam footage, but after reading the privacy policy and user agreement, I realized it’s far more invasive than expected. The app requests permissions that go beyond what’s needed for dashcam use — including full access to location, storage, and even your camera and microphone.
Even worse, the terms read more like a social media platform than a dashcam viewer, with language about account bans, content censorship, and indemnifying the company for legal claims. That’s a huge red flag for something that should just let me view SD card videos.
I never even used the app — just reading the policies was enough. Deleted immediately. If you value your privacy or don’t want to hand over your phone’s data, skip this one.

Bug - saying device is disconnected
The development team and testers need to properly test out this app. I am connected to WiFi, the dash is working, but if I want to see the live cameras, it loads forever and then crashes out and says the device is not connected but it is. Please make this fix for the next bug fix ASAP.
terrible app, can’t even update the cam software
i have tried more than several times, it cannot update the dash cam software. wifi constantly drops, then the app becomes useless as it needs to be closed and reopened.

Its has to be connected to the cigarette or it will not work
You have to connect the camera to cigarette power with cable comes with. If u use any other power source (such as a usb ports in the car), it will show the camera is connected to a computer, and won't let you use the camera. Terrible idea.
The mobile app does not support Chinese
The dash cam can be set with Chinese options, but the app only has English options. This is not very humane.
What is wrong?
When I open the app I get a message to update, I do that but it never goes away. Tired of trying to get this to work, about ready to return it and buy one that does.
Unable to view videos
Prior to the last release the application worked fine. Since 1.8 I can NO longer skip the first screen and go directly into the recorder.
I can NO longer view live and I can NO longer view ANY of the recordings in the app.
I sent the developer an email with screenshots and full explanation of the issue and still haven’t heard back.

Cannot watch the videos on the phone
The first couple days I was able on my phone to watch the videos that the Sarmert C1 5K camera captured, but after, a message pops up each time when I go to this app, its saying: ‘Failed to connect the recorder’, even there is a checkmark that looks like the camera is connected through wifi, but its not.
I tried their troubleshooting, like resetting the camera and the memory card and nothing helped. My suggestion is look somewhere easy until these guys will get their products better.

Great App for Dash Cam Users!
I love the RoadRec app! It’s easy to use and works perfectly with my dash cam. The video quality is great, and I can easily download videos directly to my phone, which is super convenient.I also appreciate that I can configure the settings of my C1 dash cam through the app and even perform OTA updates. Overall, this app makes managing my dash cam footage simple and reliable.
