No CarPlay? Could be amazing
Roads used to offer CarPlay. What happened? This app is absolutely amazing! Hands down the best route creation app I have ever used. Totally worthless. Can't use it while driving without CarPlay. Please bring it back!
Doesn’t work
I was looking for a route planning app and I had high hopes for this as a Porsche product. The app looks nice but it simply doesn’t work, I must be having some sort of issue with the software. I go to create a route and it won’t show me the route, it won’t let me add waypoints, I can search an address and it only lets me select the road, not a specific point on the road, the map is not visible throughout the planning stage, only when I click through to start the route. It is totally useless, unusable. Obviously I’m having a specific issue but I can’t understand how to fix it.

Unzuverlässig und schlecht zu bedienen
Coole Idee, aber die Navigation startet manchmal einfach nicht und hat regelmäßig Bugs. Die Bedienung und Interface sind nicht gut umgesetzt
Map Missing
Map only shows gray, even though they have access to my location. Almost makes it unusable. Worked great in 2023 not sure what happened..
No map
The map doesn’t work. You cannot see the plotted route before starting the navigation. It will show you in 3D a moving red dot but again cannot see a line or anything to show the route where your going which is useless because how do I know I wanna drive a route provided if I haven’t a clue where I’m going?

Might be useful for turn by turn in car on the phone, but for route planning I prefer a larger screen.
Problems with CarPlay
I generally like the routing, but it doesn’t work well with CP in one of my vehicles that has a portrait screen. The map gets squashed into a very small strip on the right and is almost illegible.
If only it would work properly
Roads has some good features. But too much doesn’t work, particularly the import from Google Maps - works occasionally but usually fails and the developers have not addressed this. Make this reliable please
Needs offline support
Love this app. Drives in the US often end up with no cellular service and this app needs to enable the ability to download the map data when that happens.

Worked really well
The app was great for a road tour we did at Parade this year, much better than trying to follow a specific route in Google Maps. One critique is that there is no convenient way to reverse a route for a return trip. For the tour I did, there were multiple routes prepared, it was very difficult to get a preferred route for the return trip

Great app, one caveat
Personally I love this app. It’s helped me find some great routes and you can save them too! The community feature is cute, just wish it was more active.
Only downside is that your round trips always start from your current location instead of the address you enter… almost like your input is treated as a suggestion. It would be nice if the app also displayed the speed limit, many navigation apps do.
Apart from that, it is a sweet little gem. I will still use it :) I’ve really enjoyed it so far

Updates despite iPAD O/S version not supported
Rather than warning me that my iPad/OS version is not compatible, ROADS is installed and absolutely unusable.
ROADS should have left the prior version in place and supported.

I wish the developers would update the app to work with Apple CarPlay. It won’t even show up as an app that can be added or used in the CarPlay settings.

Diese App ist für mich das perfekte Beispiel dafür, wie Technik und Menschlichkeit verschmelzen können. Der Support ist extrem zuvorkommend und nimmt sich wirklich Zeit – eine Seltenheit in der heutigen Zeit.
Das Design ist erstklassig und die sportliche Umsetzung macht einfach nur Spaß. Man merkt in jedem Detail, wie viel Herzblut das Team in die Pflege der App steckt. Wer eine App sucht, die nicht nur funktioniert, sondern begeistert, sollte sie sofort herunterladen. Von mir gibt es die maximale Punktzahl (und eigentlich noch einen Daumen obendrauf)!

Gave up at login
Can’t log in using either my Apple ID or Porsche ID. Tried several times and gave up. If sign in is this hard I have to assume the entire app is utter garbage. Didn’t want to waste anymore time.
Crash
Crash every time when initiate a route. Pretty much useless
Very hard to use and buggy
I like the *idea* of this but this is one of the most frustrating apps I’ve used in years. The UI is incredibly unintuitive, the app crashes or times out constantly, and when you make a route it’s full of inaccurate AI slop descriptions that you can’t edit.
