About

Roastr is a brewing timer and a place to keep the recipes you actually use. Open it and you are one tap from brewing. The recipe you made last is already there, with its dose, its water, and a Start button. A TIMER THAT FOLLOWS THE RECIPE Every step counts itself down, tells you what to do, and shows what the scale should read — the running total, and how much this pour adds to it. Time is kept against the clock rather than the screen, so the countdown stays right while your phone is locked, and a Live Activity keeps the current step where you can see it. RECIPES THAT SCALE Change the dose and everything follows: the water, every pour, the ratio. One tap for one to four cups. Adjust whatever you like and keep it as your own version — the original stays where it was. 30 BREWERS AND 50 RECIPES TO START V60, Chemex, AeroPress, Kalita, Origami, French press, moka pot, siphon, phin, cold brew and more, including published methods from James Hoffmann, Tetsu Kasuya and the Specialty Coffee Association. Add your own gear, write your own recipes, hide what you do not use. Nothing in the library is fixed. YOUR BEANS Point the camera at a bag and the roaster, origin, process and roast date fill themselves in. Track what is left, see how fresh it is, and know which beans a brew was made with. A DIARY THAT TELLS YOU SOMETHING Every brew is kept with its grind, water temperature, days off roast and how it tasted. Rate it and Roastr names the one change worth making next time — grind finer, grind coarser, more coffee, less water — reading a measured extraction yield if you have one and the taste you remember if you do not. Only ever one change, because two at once tell you nothing about which worked. Everything lives on your device. No account, no sign-in, nothing sent anywhere.
