What's New in Robot School. Programming For Kids

1.1

April 6, 2015

This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon. You asked and we listened! It's a huge update with some helpful features: * You can save the code for completed levels to go back and see what worked and use that code elsewhere, * " It would be great if there was some way to watch the Swift code show what it causes the robot to do, to really drive the lesson home." - YAY! You can watch the Swift code while playing now! * You can share the Swift code via Email, Twitter, Facebook etc. * Click the question mark and the app will supply you with the correct command if you got stuck (solutions are available in all levels now), Thank you for playing Robot School. Please take moment and leave us a review to let us know what you think of the game <3

User reviews

Great pre-programming app

Teaches logic concepts needed for programming in a kid-friendly manner.

Re-run Button

I agree with need for a re-run button. It's frustrating having to re-enter a program to run it again, especially on those that have a random objective

Great app, please add test option

It is awkward to execute the script multiple times to test all paths to success, should add a rerun button.

Even better have a way to test all options. For example on the levels that have a colour to read and store, cycle through all colour options when in test mode.

Great teaching tool!

My son has really been enjoying this, and I found he understands looping concepts much better than he had. The puzzle aspect is nice, too.

I picked this up after seeing it mentioned in the Guardian newspaper, and am glad I did.

One suggestion: Since many puzzles involve a random color selection, it'd be nice to have an option not to finish the level until all choices have been tested (making it slightly harder).

One other: Save the program on each level?

Great game

My son loves this game. He needs help with it, but it's a good game for adults too so it holds both our attention.
