Rock Identifier Kids: RockyDoo

Your child picks up a rock and asks what it is. Now there's an answer. Point the camera. Tap once. RockyDoo identifies rocks, crystals, gemstones, minerals and fossils in seconds — and explains each one in words written for your child's age, not for a geology textbook. WRITTEN FOR YOUR CHILD When you set the app up you enter your child's first name and pick an age range. Every explanation from then on is written at that reading level, and speaks to them by name. A four-year-old and a ten-year-old get genuinely different answers about the same stone. A COLLECTION THAT'S THEIRS Every rock they identify is saved with the photo they took — the real one, in their hand, on that walk. It builds into a collection they can scroll back through for years. Nothing disappears when they close the app. FOR EVERY FIND YOU GET • The name, and how confident we are about it • Its colors, and how hard the stone is • Where in the world it's usually found • How rare it is • One fun fact worth repeating at dinner COUSINS TO HUNT FOR Every result suggests related rocks to look for next, with photographs from Wikipedia. Tap any of them to read more. It turns a walk to the park into a treasure hunt. BUILT FOR FAMILIES No accounts. No sign-up. No ads. No analytics and no third-party tracking. Your child's rocks and photos stay on the phone. A parental gate stands in front of anything that costs money. FREE TO START Ten identifications when you begin, then one free every single day. If your rockhound moves faster than that, scan packs and RockyDoo Plus are there — and packs never expire. Made by a dad, for a boy who wouldn't stop filling his pockets.
