Beyond amazing!
OK, this app is so underrated because this has to be one of the best apps I’ve ever seen for topography fossils and minerals on top of history and a live recording of elevation and what kind of rocks are around you at all times it’s extremely helpful and fascinating
Offline check-ins don’t work
Overall the app is good. However some recent update has broken check-ins when in airplane mode. The map shows up as black. Also an error dialog pops up and refuses try go away no matter how many times you dismiss it.
When online also, the map is showing up as black, and I cannot fix the location of my offline checkin

Incredible app!
Shows you everything from the types of rock around you, the taxa near you, your stratigraphic unit and everything. Absolutely recommend to everyone even if you aren’t a rock hound.

Love Rockd, please put rock colors on Georgia. Its just dreary old gray and cant see geo patterns
Please add a follow mechanic
My friends are all geologists. It would be nice to be able to view their outcrops and get notifications when they have check ins

I really like your app. My question is, how do I get more out of it. I want to map, use it as a database and correlate mapped areas. Have you ever considered offering a short course for the finer points of Rockd? Thank you.
Great Resource
I love this app. My favorite part is the literature section where you can read about the rock units. Unfortunately, it seems with the new update that the articles don’t load. Can we fix this?

Dropped the Ball
The critical feature of this app is maps and offline maps, everything else is accessory, or, if you would agree, predatory and irritating. I hope you want to log in.
The map feature works as extraordinarily as the website, but the offline map feature fails.
You cannot select an area to create an offline map, you are stuck with what is mostly practical, a large area nearby. You cannot change the levels of zoom you would like to download either. An ‘oh well, works good enough’ app.

Great App but Sign In Every Time???
Super rad app but why do we have to log in every time we use the app. It also doesn’t save your password or email for log in so you better be ready to type it every time. Great app apart from that though

Also in map view when looking at people’s checkins, when you are done looking at one, the map brings you back to your location. This is pretty annoying when you are trying to review checkins in a certain area because you have to keep navigating back to that area after each checkin is reviewed.

Android version?
Great app, very fun for geologists. A friend with an android has windows that aren't visible (I can see them on my iPhone version, but she can't see them on Android) --- suggestions?
The best app for rock hounding
I love this app. I’ve used it probably for a year and a half now was very detailed. The best part about it is that you don’t have to actually google geology map or Google maps. However the smallest suggestion please add a key to the map.
