Excellent language course

I’ve been using this course for over two months now. I wanted to actually use the program before I reviewed it. After 65 consecutive days of use and study I can confidently say that this program was very well thought out and put together. I never imagined that in as little as 2 months I would be able to read the hiragana writing. This program covers so much more than other programs I have used. The fact that you can purchase the program and you own it for life is awesome. The language drills, history and culture lessons as well as all three writing styles makes this a fantastic program to learn the Japanese language. I would highly recommend this program if you want to learn a new language.
Finally, yes I personally paid for my program and no, I was not paid in any way for my review. This is just my honest opinion! :)

Best app I’ve used

I love how use get to talk to people and learn vocabulary while listening to conversations

Great method

This app uses the same method that I used to teach deaf children to talk. I like that it doesn’t teach specific vocabulary and it has the user repeating immediately. I seem to be picking up a language, I’ve never even listened to rather quickly.

Mic

The mic reader is kinda bad an sometimes it won’t let you use it

Excellent but a few concerns

I just want to say I love the app and paid for the full course. That being said, it’s very frustrating when a quarter of the record audio buttons in a lesson don’t work. That’s my only issue but it keeps popping up so I can’t give a 5⭐️ review until that’s fixed

Good, but lacking many languages

This app is much better than Duolingo or LingoDeer, but it’s lacking a lot of languages I need, such as Vietnamese and Tagalog.

Wow

This is by far the bomb - you can let it run forever and oh my god - i went to sf and i did not know i know spanish until someone ask me a question and the spanish answer just came out - what !

The Best

Excellent class, lots of great content

Rocket French Flies High

Rocket French is an excellent language system. It’s now also my driving buddy especially for long drives.

Exceptionally good!

It really makes learning French easier than I thought it would be, lessons are easy to understand and it’s making easier for me to nail the French accent, highly recommended!

Worth trying

Enjoying it so far

Stop asking me to rate the app

The app is fantastic but everytime i go to study and start to get into the groove with my energy and focus I get hit with… enjoying the app? Rate it now and there is no place to click like with other apps which says dont ask me this question again. Its hard for people to get into the flow so why break that flow. Are you in the business of teaching languages or getting a review?

even though ive already rated the app i keep getting interupted during my focused studies to rate the app again and again.

i will say this again. Getting into a productive study flown can be tough and then to be interrupted to rate an app you have already rated time after time after time it just gets annoying esp after having paid for the app.

Best for structured learning

Having used many apps over the years, Rocket is by far the best. Interactive, structured learning, all for a one-time cost. I highly recommend it.

Great method

This app uses the same method that I used to teach deaf children to talk. I like that it doesn’t teach specific vocabulary and it has the user repeating immediately. I seem to be picking up a language, I’ve never even listened to rather quickly.

Computer voice

I don’t like how you switched the voices up . They sound more computer generated than real people.

Missing in translation

The app seems useful. I spend 20-30 minutes nightly. I notice a lot of issues when I’m speaking and the app gives me 100% but it’s not entirely what I said, so essentially I can be inaccurate and still get credit. Very frustrating since I want to be accurate. It’s a lot to take in, learning a new language, all the ins and outs, etc. in my 60’s, and I’m not sure this is the best format, at least for me. I feel more human support and interaction would be beneficial but then that becomes a whole other issue. Nonetheless, tons of information seems well presented that I hope will sink in at some point.

Rocket Chinese makes Mandarin less difficult

Mandarin is a difficult language for English speakers. The guided, build-up approach with listening, speaking, pronunciation evaluation, along with grammar notes and cultural notes used in Rocket Chinese makes learning multidimensional, allowing for better comprehension. The additional exercises are good, but some are too long and can become demoralizing at first. Just stick with it.

Decent for the price

I like the audio and all the tasks for listening, writing, speaking and flash cards. However, it does not provide explanations on how or what is being said. I am having to utilize other reserves to learn with the app as it does not provide enough feedback for word or sentence structure explanation.

Language program connoisseur

I have my favorite programs, like Fluenz or Pimsleur, but Rocket Languages has risen to the top. It has a good balance of learning new material at a fast pace, focusing on pronunciation, vocabulary, and applying pronunciation and written language. All too many programs focus on the vocabulary and the learner doesn’t feel able to actually speak the language, despite completing the course. Even early on I feel like I can speak and generate sentences well.

Molto Buono!

I bought the Italian course a while ago, and after a lengthy break have recently come back to it. I’ve found it an excellent resource for learning - the right mix of listening, speaking and writing. The voice recognition has improved significantly from when I first used it a couple of years ago. Enjoying working my through the course
