A Nice App for Us Rockhounds
There are 70+ different rocks and minerals with detailed information and clear photos.
Enjoyed app until it stopped working with iOS6 update!
Used app a few days ago before iOS6 update and everything was working. After updating the app just shows a blank white screen and then a blank black screen.
Disappointed
This app couldn’t recognize a rose quartz crystal.
No matter what stone I put in, it kept giving basically the same answers again and again.
Not worth it even if it is free.

To be clear, the app makes no claim to "recognize" any rock or gem and has no capability to do that. If you have a Rose Quartz Crystal that you want to add, you simply take a picture of it, add any other details about it, like where it was found and save it to your collection. Your collection can then be sorted by type, date found, or rating. Share what you find with your Friends!
A rip off - absolute waste of my one dollar
I think that Apple should remove it since it is good for NOTHING. This is a scam
No camera identifier
I thought I would be able to take a photo of a rock or crystal and the app would identify it, but instead there is just an alphabetical list of rocks with photos. I could have googled that for free.

This app has like thirty rocks... and barely any information about any of them... just get a subscription to a geology magazine!!!

Don't buy it
Completely worthless. Nothing more than poorly worded, flowery descriptions, that can be found most anywhere else on the internet. Sure $0.99 is not much, but it's not worth $0.09!

This app is terrible. Crashes every time I try to use it and has very few rocks listed. Waste of money. And I'm not 8 like the other reviews.
It could be better
It could be better if it didn't lock up every time I try to add a stone to the database...other than that it's okay.
Frozen
Every time I've clicked on the icon to add a rock the app freezes up. Wish the app worked. What does work is great.

Not even worth a dollar, very limited information, poor quality Information. Here is an actual quote from the App, “Iron is the most abundant element in the planet you on, and iron is at the heart of civilization, too". Ha ha seriously.
It's alright
Needs more rocks and better info beside just color and shape but still handy when your interested on learning about a certain rock!
Very handy app for any geology lab class
Very handy app for high school earth science and college geology lab class. However, it's not as good as the Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Rocks and MInerals handbook.
Nice little app
Love the feature to add your own rocks. Would like to be able to change (or delete) the standard data, including using own photos. Also, the shake to turn off sound doesn't work for me.
