New Addiction

This game is great. Addicting without being debilitating and it’s amazing there are no ads.

It’s fun

Fun word game. I appreciate that the dev does not collect player data.

Addicting

Super fun

So addictive

This game is wonderful. It fills my need for a decent scrabble like game, and turns it on its head
It's fun and changes every day

Excellent

This game is for the english nerds who never have friends to play scrabble with. Rogue likes are insanely popular today, and as someone who doesn’t typically enjoy those types of games, this has gotten my attention. Within 24 hours I’ve already begged my english nerd family to play it. No ads. No forced team play. No paywalls. This is just a good game.

Pretty Fun

I’ve spent many hours in this game and it is a nice brain exercise. I am also a big roguelike fan (started on OG Isaac with Flash) and the elements in this are well incorporated. Legend difficulty is exactly that: difficult. But it should be. Good job, devs. Really cool game.

It’s fun.

It’s fun. But every few minutes the app freezes and I have to close it out and go back into the game.

I’d pay for this game

as a big fan of puzzle games and roguelikes in general, I genuinely cant believe this game is free. scrabble with a balatro joker like system is a simple but fun premise. there could be some improvements and tweaks but for a free game, this eats a lot of my time and isnt boring phone game slop. 5 stars, i recommend it to friends

Sticking with a game is rare

This is a near-perfect game. Love word games but many get old fast or reply on turn-taking. This game is dynamic, challenging, and perfect to play in short burst or a longer sitting. It also is clearly written by creative people with a smart sense of humor. The boons, potions, and challenges add a great twist. The daily challenge format is genius and keeps me coming back (though not in a way that feels forced or coercive like a ‘streak’). On that note, I’m thrilled to find and support devs doing exceptional work without monetizing gameplay or opting for extractive subscription models. There’s a lot about not just the game itself but also the decisions of the creators that make it really fun, unique, and refreshing.

Peak

I love rogue like games and this feels good for the brain!!

Challenging

I love this game. It’s challenging and easy.

Like Balatro and Scrabble had a baby

Very sick. Also very tight

Great but a few things

Great game overall. Love word games and this is a top play for me. Few things that would make the UX nicer:

- tile upgrade, have a button that selects all. I currently have to manually press each letter to select all. I also accidentally press “pick none” right away when it goes to the next screen. Quite frustrating.

- have a pre-score indicator so I know how many score each word I put up before I “play” it. I end up spending way too much time calculating in my head or hoping for the best.

There’s a few more but this what I can think of that’s pressing.

Take my money

Analysis paralysis at its best. Rogue Words easily shares the stage with Slay the Spire and Baletro.

The interface is superb with several quality of life features. There are plenty of strategies to keep runs fresh and dynamic.

UX notes: The book menu should open to word search; boons and potions only take priority in the shop or title screen. “Contains” only filters the exact text order (CAT shows CATS, but not ACTS). An actual dictionary would be rad to translate the desperate guess words.

Returning to the title: give us a way to give you money. Color themes and fonts would be awesome. Ad skips would be a nightmare.

We Don't Deserve This

A chill mobile game that has NO ads, has a beautifully designed UI, and doesn't bother you with 10 varieties of overstimulating popups every time you open it? Never heard of it... until now. I want to donate to the devs.

Best relaxing game ever

I love Rogue Words. It’s relaxing but not boring. Every time I don’t have anything to do, I play it. I like that it can help you learn and revise many words. I also like that it doesn’t have any ads to bother me. In short: LOVE IT!

Great game

This game is a ton of fun, kind like wordle mixed with balatro. Great game loving a lot so far.

Fun and well done

Good thought and clever strategy

Was fun for a few rounds

Once I was able to beat the 10 rounds and unlocked most of the powerups, the game got boring and felt very much of the same. The fun only lasted about 2-3 hours.

Amazing

Great game
