Still haven’t fixed it!
I left a review of this app several months ago, and I was hoping this bug would be fixed. However, it still persists! The app still shuts off when your phone goes to sleep. This is bad for those of us who like to fall asleep to old time radio or listen to it in the background. That is why I took off another star. I really hope you fix it soon.

Useless app
App does no more than the book marked web page on my browser. Just uses up memory. I installed it in hopes of being able to look at programs available for more than the current hour so I could plan when to listen to my favorite programs. Xm radio, which I admit you pay for, has a nice Excel spreadsheet that gives you 24 hour programming for a channel. I’d like to see what programs are scheduled for the day. I’ll still listen, but not using the app

Amazing app
This is an awesome app. I love exploring your extensive library of radio stations lately. It has been very hard for me to find good old Time radio apps and yours is one of the best however, I want to acknowledge that there is a bug still around that has been persisting for a while now from the looks of it a few years it is the bug that when you put your phone to sleep, the app automatically shuts off. This is annoying when you want to listen to radio stations not to be rude, but this is a very small bug and it shouldn’t be that hard to fix. That’s why I only took off one star I hope that you will give this consideration and try to fix it. I have noticed that other people have had the same problem too. I want to be an advocate for this app because it is a really great app. I just hope that this bug can be fixed. Thank you.

Needs Work…
The apps old radio shows will not continue playing when Smart Cover on my iPad is closed… Why??? This one glitch makes the app virtually useless for entertainment purposes. Love the apps content but please fix this problem.
A useless and pointless app created by children
The app doesn’t play in the background. Station playing is not shown as a main screen . Not compatible with apple large format . No accessibility features. Listings are not current by several minutes
Useless
Since the last update you can only listen as long as you’re phone is “awake”. Once the screen goes dark the app stops playing. This, of course, makes the app useless unless you want to continually touch your screen. This has been reported to the developer by several users but nothing has been done. Sad, it was once a great app. Now I use the “Radio Garden” app to listen to my favorite ROK stations.

Used to be a great app
After the last update the radio stops after the phone goes on standby mode. So if you want to listen you have to constantly tap the screen. A shame. It used to be an awesome app and apparently the designer isn’t reading the reviews because I’m not the first to complain about this.
Great Free OTR Channels, App Needs A Fix!!

At last, finally got it to work in the background
Well done!!! You have got the App to work in the background, but now the currently playing doesn’t change . While we’re at it how about changing the listings to show each full day and not the same hour for each day in a row....not easy to find... that’s just madness. Old review:Used to be good, now most of titles of the programs are missing. Sometimes loses the stream. Recordings not always planned so the endings are missed. Planner hard work to use. Now audio stops when iOS Device goes to sleep... absolutely useless !!! Cannot be used... I guess that’s the definition of USELESS...

Nice shows - irritating feature
I love the shows but cannot use the app anymore! Please please can you go back to an older version that didn’t turn off when the phone sleeps or other apps were used. I need it to play in the background!

That is until the latest update. Now when your phone goes into sleep mode the program stops. It used to be one of my favorite apps but now it’s pretty much useless.
No background sound.
Edit: 4 years later, tried the app again. Still no background sound. Literally a fundamental function of a radio app. It’s just a schedule app now and even the website does that.

Used to love this app
Listened to this app all the time. Still do when working on my desktop. But when they updated the app a couple of months ago the ruined it. When phone going to sleep, so does the app. Never did that before.

As other reviews have stated, you can't play the radio in the background so its useless please fix!
Good, but….
The latest update offers a cleaner, more up-to-date interface. However, after the latest update, the content stops playing when the screen turns off or navigating to another app. This means you have to leave the app open and scroll up and down every few minutes (which ain’t happening) to keep it playing. Sorry for the significant downgrade in performance for an otherwise excellent app.

Update failures
I used to listen every day (particularly love the British shows) but now the app stops when the screensaver comes on or if I use any other app. Please please fix this - I do love the shows but the latest version makes it useless!
App Does Not Play When Screen Goes Off
Since the update the the app stops playing as soon as the screen turns off. The programming is wonderful but the app is now useless for me with the current issue.

The developer did an update 2 days ago and it’s very nice except when my phone goes to sleep, the app stops. No more listening to it in the background. Also, I’d still love that sleep timer I’ve been asking for! Hope this gets fixed. Really good app otherwise.
I enjoy all the shows on here, my favorite being the crime and mystery channels. I love the British shows that are available. To make it perfect, I’d love to have a sleep option. I enjoy listening to it before bed and it would be great to set a timer. It’s one of my favorite apps!
