This app is not useful and not worth 1.99

The questions are meant to be helpful for using more specific examples in your free write answers (SAQ, LEQ, DBQ) but the answers are faaaarr too specific and useless information. In what world would I need to know the 3rd party presidential candidate who only got 48 electoral votes in 1968. For 70% of these questions I would say the information they give you is not only too specific but useless. Another 20% of the questions are far too easy and basic level information that don’t call for any higher level thinking. Only about 10% of these questions actually call for a reasonable level of high level thinking that tests feasible knowledge of US history.

Overly specific questions

The questions are very specific and often not the type that will be asked on the exam. I am hoping to get a refund on this app.

Good but not great

It’s helpful for reviewing before the exam. All questions are quick and in a DIFFERENT FORMAT then exam. It’s still nice but it really is just a quizlet app that is organized for APUSH by categories of each topic. one annoying thing is it doesn’t save your score after leaving a section. Only a few bugs.

Not Worth It

Most of the questions asked in this app are not even relevant to the AP exam. For example, you will rarely be asked dates of bills, but this app has lots of questions about that. I even got a question that had the WRONG ANSWER marked as correct. Don’t waste your time, it would be better spent either on Quizlet or studying your notes from class.

Hello SmooshObsessed! This is Duke with Romulus. On behalf of the Romulus Team, we're sorry you didn't find the app useful. This app is going to be more helpful with free-response items than it is with the multiple-choice section. Our questions are not meant to replace standard exam questions, but to supplement preparation so that students have a more secure grasp of the content. The Romulus apps can help to strengthen knowledge of specific evidence, making it less likely that a student will draw a blank while working on the Free-Response sections of the exam (SAQs, DBQ, LEQ). Again, thanks for your honest feedback as we take all feedback and go make the apps better. Press On! Duke

Great Way to Review

To be honest, it is quite simple. Just a multiple choice quiz for many topics about US History. However, it includes additional information when you don't choose the correct answer. I like it and I'd recommend if you want to quickly learn. Obviously, this isn't meant for everyone. $1.99 isn't a lot for just a few quizzes. I'd appreciate looking at study guides or lists to help one understand what happens in certain periods.

Hey MythicDev! Duke here with the Romulus Team. Thank you for purchasing the APUSH APP! We appreciate the honest review from your experience. We have found that many of our students enjoy the quick access to review content from all the units. Press On! Duke

boo.

You really don’t need this... like at all. The questions are pretty trash and a lot of them are irrelevant to what is actually on the test. I wish I could give it 0 stars tbh

A Bit Helpful but not really necessary.

This app is very much like quizlet and the good part is that it’s fast and quick to help you learn info. However, the questions aren’t in the AP multiple choice format. There are no true or false questions on the exam, but many of the questions in the app have this format. Adding real prep multiple choice questions from practice APUSH exams would be really helpful so students can have a basic idea of the format. Other than that, I was that the app was organized into the different periods which was helpful. Also the option of looking at info regarding your wrong answer really helped. I would recommend this app.

Hello Bending Danny. This is Duke from the Romulus Team. Thanks for your honest feedback. We are currently working on our NextGen APUSH and we hope to address some of your concerns with the new coding. Having a way to access the real exam might be doable. Thanks for the suggestion! We agree that having the answer explanations really help and are a great way of learning the content. Thanks again and Press On! Duke

Not a stimulus based app, but incredibly useful

A lot of people give this app a hard time because they think it’s meant to give stimulus based questions, but it’s not. However, it is perhaps the most useful tool I had for the exam since it helped me identify what time periods I needed to brush up on #letsgetthisbread

PLEASE DONT BUY

This app looks helpful yes. I was looking for help with reviewing for the AP US history exam and I found this app to help review. PLEASE DONT BUY IT. This app is a multiple choice review app and the bad part is that it asks questions that are too specific and not helpful in studying concepts and events that will be in the AP exam. It will ask a question about who passed a certain bill which is not helpful compared to a question that helps you review what the act actually is. I would NOT recommend this app. Don't waste your time and money on this app when you could be using other resources to study that are actually helpful. One last time DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY I am genuinely triggered after buying this app.

Use quizlet

Decent app because it gives you information if you get it wrong but I was expecting better. It’s very similar to quizlet but quizlet is free therefore BETTER. Just use quizlet don’t waste your money it’s not that good!!!

Just not relevant

You’re never EVER going to see questions like this on an ap test. EVER.

Pretty Bad for a Study App that costs $2

It’s literally just a different way to study off Wikipedia. Does not help with studying for the ap test. Bad coding, nothing is very good about this app. 👎👎👎👎👎

Awesome, just needs more

Wish the app could receive DBQ questions to answer. Or just sample questions for APUSH students. Great for keeping up in class

Nice review app

I absolutely love this app. I understand that the types of questions are not exactly what's on the exam, but I'm able to quickly review so many content questions in a short amount of time. My goal in purchasing this app was to familiarize myself with as many key concepts as rapidly as possible. I'm using this app with a plethora of video reviews from Tom Richey, Hip Hughes and Daniel Josz.

An app for all ages!

I graduated high school a very long time ago, but Romulus has improved my jeopardy game exponentially!! Thanks Romulus!

Almost completely effortless

As a parent of a teenager, you often worry about the preparation your child will have for these kind of exams, but when I took my family to the local golden coral last night, my son was glued to his phone (like all teenagers), and when I asked him to put it away he blew my mind with,” dad, I’m studying for my a.p. exam with this app.” He showed me the screen and I almost fell out of my chair. I really think he’s ready to put a five on it.

Not similar to APUSH

The questions are nowhere close to the kinds of stimulus questions that we’ve actually done all year. These are just garbage wikipedia references. Do. Not. Buy.

Martha

Bruuuuh this was false advertising at its finest, not organized at all when it comes to retaining memory, just a bunch of questions that all to it, And it’s not even in AP style format the source was trash (was Wikipedia) 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

WORST APP

WORST APP DO NOT PAY WAY OVERPRICED FOR WHAT IT IS NOT HELPFUL AT ALL Do not buy

Many Typos, Not Reliable

There are so many typos! This is supposed to be a useful source but instead it says that WWI started when WWII did. Along with many other issues. Please fix the typos so I can learn actual facts.
