About
Ronda is a notepad for music ideas. Record your voice, play the built-in synth, import a sample, and hear them together. A song starts with a single recording and grows into something with structure, right on your phone.
BETWEEN A DAW AND A VOICE MEMO
Open Ronda, record something, and start building. Recordings stack into layers, organize into parts like verses and choruses, and sync with other people in real time. Ronda is built around recording fast, collecting ideas in one place, and working on them with other people. That's what makes it simple to use on your own and fun to use together.
RECORD AND LAYER
Start with whatever you have. Sing a melody, play a chord, tap out a rhythm. Then add another layer on top. Everything in a part plays at the same time, so a song grows piece by piece without planning it all first.
Plug in a USB-C audio interface or earphones and record straight through them. Works with the Scarlett, TP-7, and anything class-compliant.
FIND YOUR KEY
Record something and Ronda can detect the key automatically. The keyboard highlights which notes fit, and chord presets adjust to your key so everything you play works in context. A fretboard view does the same for guitar and bass, showing the notes that fit across the neck.
SYNTHS THAT FIT
Nine built-in synths, from warm keys to punchy stabs and ambient pads. The keyboard shows notes of your scale so what you play always sounds right. Chord presets give you full chords from a single tap, all tuned to whatever key you're in.
Adjust tuning, pitch, octave, and filter to shape the sound.
TEMPO MATCHING
Import audio from your files or apps like Splice and Ronda detects the tempo. If it doesn't match your song, time-stretching adjusts the speed without changing the pitch. Turn it on or off for each layer.
SONG STRUCTURE
Organize into parts like verses, choruses, and bridges. Each part gets its own key, scale, tempo, and layers. Play them individually or chain them together to hear the full arrangement.
Set how many times a part repeats and queue up the next section during playback.
WRITE ALONGSIDE
Add notes next to your audio. Lyrics, chord ideas, reminders for next time. Every part and every layer can hold text so nothing slips between sessions.
BUILD TOGETHER
Send an invite and someone else can record into your song from their phone. Everything stays in sync so you can build on each other's work as it lands. When you come back, Ronda shows you what changed while you were away.
You decide who's in the project. Remove someone or leave on your own whenever you want.
MIX AND LISTEN BACK
Adjust volume and mute individual layers to find the right balance. Add plate or spring reverb while you record. Play a single part on repeat or chain the whole song together to hear how it flows.
YOUR RECORDINGS ARE YOURS
Nothing you make in Ronda is locked to Ronda. Export any layer, any part, or the whole song and use it wherever you want. Send it to another app, AirDrop it, drop it into a DAW. Back up an entire song as a .ronda file with all the audio included, and restore it on another device whenever you need to.
AUDIO QUALITY
Ronda records in M4A at 48 kHz, mono, at the highest quality setting iOS offers. USB audio interfaces get flat processing for accurate capture. All exports use Apple's standard M4A format, so what you send out sounds like what you recorded and works in any app that reads audio.
Ronda helps you:

What's New in Ronda
1.2
March 23, 2026
Plug in your audio interface or earphones and record straight into Ronda. Works with USB-C devices like the TP-7, Scarlett, and anything class-compliant. Sharing got simpler. Solo songs now open with an invite when you tap the people icon, and collaborative songs show who's here along with sync status so you always know where things stand. When you import audio with a different tempo, Ronda can match the speed to your part automatically. You can turn this on or off anytime. Under the hood, sync is smarter. Ronda only holds connections open for songs that need them and reconnects gracefully when you come back online. A few crash-and-stuck-note bugs are gone too.
