Worst app ever
It doesn’t recognize accounts made online. You cannot log in to the app unless you created your account on the app. Horrible.
Full of scammers
I put up an ad that I was looking for a room in NYC. After almost a month it reported 2 views. The vast majority of the listings were from real estate companies where you don’t even get to meet your roommates before you sign. And worst of all, they renewed my $28 subscription without warning and have a blanket no refund policy. Avoid this app at all costs. I found my place through SpareRoom. Use them instead.

This app is NOT the same from 1 year ago- YOU WERE WARNED
The "easy to get in, hard to get out / keep you paying" part specifically is called a roach motel. That’s exactly what this feels like. After paying $28 for verification two weeks ago, my listing in prime Manhattan real estate zip code has 8 views and zero messages. Click on customer service and it says “coming soon.” Email them and get a delivery failure notice 2 days later.

Not good for NYC
99% of the ads for Manhattan are SPAM. It won’t allow me to message anyone unless I pay for a plan even though I’ve earned identity badges and verifications.
BEWARE!!! App is full of scammers.
App is full of scammers but it's virtually impossible to flag a fraudulent listing or contact anyone for support. DON'T SEND ANY MONEY TO ANYONE FROM THIS APP. My niece found this out the hard way.
THIS APP IS A SCAM
LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE LISTING ON THIS APP IS FAKE I LOST $550 to this app because the landlords require a security deposit before you even meet. If you’re looking for a home and you’re desperate, than stay far tf away from this app, the room are too good to be true. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP, YOU WILL GET SCAMMED

404 Error
Something has been terribly wrong with Roomi. I used to use this app to find roommates - but now I cannot even get into the app, for it only give me a 404 Wrror page. It’s sad, because Roomi once gave me two tee shirts with their logo on it for free, and I still have them! What happened, guys???
Doesn’t work
First off, app gives a 404 page often and won’t let you click any buttons to navigate elsewhere. The location search feature doesn’t work at all, not in the app and not on the website. Results for Colorado USA show New York results.
Scam
Every listing on this app is a scam have filed a police complaint with the NYPD as well as the FCC.
Is this whole app a joke or a scam?
I posted a listing last week as I was urgently searching for a roomate, and contacted some potential candidates who seemed to be recently active. As I try to check responses the day after, I can’t access the website as they are “going trough some major update and offline for a few hours”. Fine. As I try to log in again after that, my password all of a sudden does not work, I try to the reset it and never receive the link (checked spam already, tried trough several browsers and app with the same bad result). Tried to contact customer support and messaging does not work.
I was about to pay for verification and so glad I didn’t, but this feels infuriating nonetheless.
The concept is good as there is such a need for a good platform to match good roomates and none of the existing ones are remotely viable.

Glitchiest app I’ve ever used
This app absolutely sucks. I’ve used it multiple times over the years and nothing ever gets better. Missed out on so many potential great roommates due to the issues. Haven’t received notifications or been able to reply in the past and most recently they did an update where you couldn’t access the app or website for a day and then when I logged back in it had made my account and listing in active (as well as all of the people I was talking to so now I can no longer chat with them). Embarrassingly bad!

Scam
There’s literally no way to cancel your membership. You have to delete your account.
It’s also filled with fake or old listings. I contact 10 people and no one responded. Also, support didn’t even respond to me

Scam
Full of scammers and the app itself is a scam too
BEWARE of Scammers!!!
Roomi feels unreliable, unsecured and unsafe. Nearly every listing I’ve reviewed checked and analyzed spending countless hours looking a for a room only to find it’s yet another scammer, it shows clear scam indicators, such as requests for off-platform contact or entire apartments priced far below market value. At least 8 out of 10 were scams. The number of red flags makes Roomi very hard to trust. I wouldn’t use this app be warned. Sad, because if they put effort in its security, it would actually be a good app.

Horrible app
Don’t use this, it takes your money and doesn’t let you send messages
SCAMMER ALERT
I got scammed out of $500 from this app. Not trustworthy. I might as well have gone to Craigslist
Zonas de búsqueda
Deben mejorar el GPS y/o dejar que uno pueda poner la ciudad predeterminada en la que quiere publicar o revisar opciones. DADAROOM creo no era como Uds lo gestionan actualmente 🥺
Buggy
Please fix the buggy app . I continually get a blank white screen while clicking on “my listing”
No sirve
La app simplemente no funciona. No te deja cambiar idioma, mo encuentro las secciones, parece que mi anuncio si aparece pero no recibo ningún mensaje y no puedo ver lis otros anuncios.
Too buggy to work
It’s a great idea, but when listing my room, it does not allow me to type in the required part, never accepting my address. This is across the app and multiple browsers, so there’s no way for me to put up a listing. This happened after I paid, too…
