So bad

I’ve never even written an app review. This app is so user un-friendly I had to write my first review. Omg it’s terrible

Very easy to use

I love that it has the scale option. The floor plan I was attempting to recreate to see how to arrange the furniture in my new house, and used the scaling feature which was accurate. One feature I wish it has was more options for furniture we have here in the United States.

Way too expensive

This app is very expensive and must be renewed yearly. I did use it for 2 years because I was designing a home and it was the more accessible for the iPad than the apps available at the time. This year I didn't renew. The subscription rate increased 25% this year. It's a pretty time consuming app and the furniture inventory is not very robust and you can't add anything to it. You have to put a block in place of your missing pieces. For the cost of the app you should be able to upload items to the inventory along with paint colors and wallpaper. I do not recommend this app.

Small house

Construction review requirements in my county dashed my Tiny House hopes yet I have a camping van for mobility, so am using the software to design a small house of about 700 sq ft and using Tiny House storage solutions. Roomsketcher allows me to play with different plans, furnish the rooms to test the space, go walk around inside using 3-D. I had my current home built and being to think about things like light switches, light fixtures and outlets ahead of time will make discussions with my selected builder effective. Plus I can print blueprints to collect bids. This is an excellent tool for imagining and laying out a vision.

Just Frustrating

The app is real finicky even too the point of just trying to sign in. Glad I didn’t upgrade to the paid version.

Good app

I think the app is good. It’s fairly straightforward and easy to use. It could use some more design flooring and surfaces. And you should be able to distinguish Flooring from room to room easier.

Can’t sign in

The stupid app does not let me sign in.

Misleading, Basic, Not Free

Everything on the website advertises this as a free app with all the furniture/pieces etc. When I signed up it was my understanding the 3D modelling would cost money, which makes sense. This program is so unbelievably basic. I tried mapping out our space and once I finally added the walls and stairs, to my surprise the furniture catalogue was sooo basic, or I just had to pay a $200 fee?! Absolutely ridiculous. Thank you for wasting an hour of my time. If you are looking for something on a budget I do not recommend this product whatsoever.

Great! Could use a couple things

Awesome App! The only few things I would love to see are roof/ rooflines to become available. Also when you’re in 3d mode and zoom in on a particular area/room, one cannot move the floor plan over - meaning some rooms get pushed off the screen, in lieu of just moving the whole floor plan over, one must reduce the floor plan and twist it around to try and find a better angle to see a particular room. Lastly, I think it would be really cool if they had a “walk through” feature. Essentially it would be an option to “walk” through the space to see how it looks as a person. Again, great app!!

Clunky & useless on an iPad

Frustrating waste of time. When updating a measurement keyboard defaults to characters, not numbers! When using shapes it combines them into a single area & removes the wall. Maybe it is useful on a desktop or laptop but hopeless on the iPad

Great for identifying issues with architects plans

I initially used the application to develop floor plan concepts for my architect. Later I upgraded to 3D, which was very useful in identifying issues with window heights and placements. It was also very helpful in developing preliminary kitchen design concepts before meeting with kitchen design centers. There are limitations with the application, but for the money…and a little bit of a learning curve…it is a great option.

iPad app is terrible

As the title says, the iPad app is terrible- to the point of unusable. Difficult to change the dimensions on anything already drawn, clunky interface.

Difficult

It’s far too complicated for me. I have no idea of putting in the measurements on how to get the size of my kitchen. I’ve deleted the app. Every kitchen planner is the same, for beginners.

misleading video

doesn’t work the way the video shows. Could not get the cursor to begin walls where I tapped - would only start where it wanted to. pathetic

Not workable

Prompt to uprade to a pro version pops up every few seconds. Not workable and frustrating.

Too finicky

It's easier for me to draw by hand. Why would anyone pay for this. You can't even intuitively draw walls because you can end them and change the dimensions like the video tells you.

Total waste

Could not draw curved lines in free
ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO EXIT ON IPAD
HAD TO OPEN NOTIFICATION SCREEN AND ENTER ANOTHER APP TO GET OUT OF SKETCHER
ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!
NOT EVEN ONE STAR!!

Can be easier to Use

I find Room Sketcher is a great tool however some things are not intuitive and take some time to get used to on how to use them. That is a frustrating thing.

Leider absolut nicht intuitiv

Die optischen Möglichkeiten sind bestimmt sehr gut, aber die absolut schlechte Bedienung, die überhaupt nicht intuitiv ist, vermiesen einem dem Spass. Schade !

Response from developer

Warning

This app charges a huge amount for a yearly subscription that only gives you access to an account. If you want to use the app you must also purchase “credits” in order to do anything. There is also constant crashes and glitches and the developers response to all these issues is essentially “damn that’s crazy bro”
