What’s New in Roost! A pretty packed update just landed in the Rookery. Here’s what’s new: Messages Speak More Languages * You can now translate messages right inside Roost (still in testing) * Translation works in messages and Pen Pal conversations, with support for 22 languages using on device translation! Your Data, Your Roost * You can now download a copy of your Roost data directly from Settings. * No need to send us an email or wait for it to arrive. Birds Have Second Thoughts * Unsend now asks for confirmation before calling a bird home. * No more accidentally Unsending a pigeon halfway across the world. A Better Feature Request Board * Rankings and scores are easier to read. * Shipped and planned ideas are clearer. * Voting and browsing should feel a little nicer all around. Supporter Improvements * The Supporter page now does a much better job showing everything included with your support. Games * Our Flying Little Pigeon Game has a new name: Swoop. * Bullet Hell got a bunch of fixes, including those mysterious invisible-bullet deaths. * Lasers, hit detection, and game transitions should behave much better now. * A few other game audio and visual gremlins were also chased away. Fixes & Improvements * Fixed an issue that could make Roost think a pigeon still belonged to someone after it had already moved on. * Blocking and unblocking someone should no longer leave conversations in a weird state. * Flight details now fit better on different screen sizes. * ETA previews now do a better job explaining when something goes wrong. * The “Everyone” Flock filter now actually means everyone! * Profile pages should scroll straight instead of occasionally wandering sideways (whoops) * “Ghosts of the Past” now properly contains extinct and lost birds. Faster, Lighter Roost We made conversations faster to open, especially on devices that were having trouble with larger threads. Roost is also roughly 27 MB smaller thanks to some behind-the-scenes spring cleaning. As always, we squashed a flock of smaller bugs along the way. Thanks for helping make Roost better.
