Root News has quietly become my go-to source each morning - it’s the first thing I check to get a clear sense of what’s going on.
What stands out is how focused it is: the stories are concise, stripped of unnecessary commentary, and stick to the facts. That makes it easy to stay informed without having to sift through opinion-heavy content.
At the same time, I appreciate that I can dig deeper when I want to. The additional context and explanations help me better understand topics and expand my knowledge without feeling overwhelmed.
All in all, it’s a smart, well-balanced way to stay informed.

Great app, hoping for continued support going forward
By far the most streamlined and simple way to get the facts on current events. Hoping to have an option to see Canadian Politics and maybe other topics to switch out the ones I’m less interested in.

I‘ve been waiting for an app like this. I burned out from regular news consumption and needed something simple and to the point, all in one place!
But most importantly, I was done with news that felt one-sided. No more agendas. No more opinion-pieces.
