About
Rootbook is a watering log for people who check the soil before they water. Tap Water when you water, or Still Damp when the soil wasn't dry yet. You decide when to water, and Rootbook keeps the record.
It's free, with no limit on plants or log entries. It keeps one photo per plant and saves everything on your iPhone.
What you can do
• Log a watering with one tap, right from the list
• Note Still Damp on days you checked but didn't water
• See how long it's been since you last watered each plant
• Find the least recently watered plants at the top of the list
• Add any plant by typing its name (there's no catalog to search)
• Forgot to log a day? Add or correct past entries
• Keep a photo of each plant
What Rootbook doesn't do
It doesn't tell you when to water. It doesn't identify plants or diagnose problems, and it never sends notifications. If you already look after your plants by eye and by touch and just want to remember what you did, that's what Rootbook is for.
No account
You don't sign up for anything. Rootbook stores your log on your iPhone, and logging works without a connection. It doesn't keep its own cloud backup, but your iPhone's backup may include your log.
