What's New in RootDeck
1.1.0
August 25, 2026
RootDeck 1.1.0 adds a new Server tab, live logs, smarter terminal suggestions, and a more comfortable iPad experience. NEW SERVER TAB • Monitor CPU, memory, disks, network, and five-minute trends after connecting. • Inspect and control systemd services on Linux, Windows services, and launchd agents on macOS. • View service details and recent journal entries, and save logs to a file. • Explore processes with owner, full command, parent, and working directory. Pause the list, group identical workers, and terminate processes safely. LIVE LOGS • Follow log files as the server writes them. • Open logs from Files, services, or processes. • Pause without losing lines, jump back to the latest entry, filter content, open or copy links, and save the visible output. • Retry protected files as root when needed. SMARTER TERMINAL • Get inline command suggestions from session history, saved commands, and OS-specific built-in catalogs. • The expanded catalog covers Git, systemd, Docker, Kubernetes, networking, DNS, HTTP, TLS, firewalls, SSH, macOS, and Windows commands. • Suggestions understand sudo and compound commands after && or |. • Accept with a tap or the right arrow; RootDeck never runs a suggested command automatically. • Suggestions stay hidden in full-screen tools, during password entry, and while reviewing previous output. ALSO IMPROVED • Open or copy links from terminal output, including links split across lines, and view all detected links in one list. • Larger text across iPad, while continuing to respect Dynamic Type. • Better terminal contrast on Mac, iPhone, and iPad. • Fixed the terminal key bar after iPad rotation. • Server availability checks now show live progress in the server list.
