What's New in RootLock

1.2

August 12, 2026

Lockdowns, unlock requests, and a smoother sign-in. • Lock Devices in one tap. From the Home map you can pause your kids' apps right now — manually or on a 15-minute, 30-minute, 1-hour, or 2-hour timer. Optionally add a short message that the child sees on the lock screen ("Come find me before you unlock"). • Kids check in to unlock. When Lock Devices is on, the child sees a friendly RootLock shield and taps "I'm here" to send you a check-in. You get a notification the moment they do. • Kids can ask for a specific app. From the lock screen the child can tap "Request Unlock" for one app. You get a notification with an Approve / Deny action right on the alert — no need to open the app. • Unlock grants now pause ALL blocking. When you unlock a child from their profile card, every rule pauses for the duration you picked — apps, schedules, and web filtering — so the unlock actually works end to end. • Notification taps land in the right place. Tapping a check-in, unlock request, or arrival alert now opens straight to the screen that explains it. • Sign back in after reinstalling. If a kid deletes and reinstalls the app on the same phone, they can reconnect to your family from the invite link without hitting a generic error. • Enter a creator's code at sign-up. If a RootLock creator you follow shared a code, you can enter it during onboarding. Plus stability, security, and performance improvements.
