About

Rotate is a private, native journal for where you place your insulin pump and CGM sensor — and when. It keeps two independent rotation tracks, one for your pump and one for your sensor, so each area gets the rest it needs. WHAT IT DOES • Log every placement in a tap or two, on a clear body map. • See a recency heatmap of your recent sites, so the least-used areas are obvious at a glance. • Get least-recently-used, region-diverse suggestions when it's time for a new site. • Keep a running history you can look back over. • Choose which areas each track rotates through, and a body figure that fits you. • Correct placement times and add custom sites for either track. • Ask Siri how long a site has been on, or start your next placement. • See the hour count in a lock-screen widget and tap to start a new site. BUILT WITH THE DIY COMMUNITY IN MIND After you confirm a placement, Rotate can hand off to your looping app so you can finish setup without hunting for it. Everything works just as well on its own. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your journal lives on your device. With iCloud sync on, a copy is stored in your private iCloud database on Apple's servers. You can turn sync off to keep your journal on one device and choose to remove the copy already in iCloud. With no iCloud account, it stays on your iPhone. Botanica never receives your journal: Rotate has no account, no developer-operated servers, and no analytics. An optional Face ID lock protects access to the journal, and Rotate hides it in the app switcher. NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE Rotate is a journaling and reminder aid. It does not read glucose, calculate insulin doses, diagnose skin or tissue, or communicate with your pump or CGM. Always follow your device's instructions and your care team's guidance for site selection and placement. Free and open source.

What's New in Rotate

1.1.1

October 7, 2026

What's new in 1.1.1 • Fix times after the fact — tap any journal entry to change when a site went on or came off. • Add your own sites for spots the body figure doesn't cover. They rotate, collect recency heat, and can be included or excluded per track like any other area. • Turn iCloud sync off. Sync stays on by default, but you can now keep your journal on one device only — and remove the copy already in your iCloud. • Ask Siri how long your pump or sensor has been on, or start the next site hands-free. • A lock-screen widget showing the hour count — tap it to start a new site. • An optional Face ID lock to protect access to your journal. • Clearer privacy wording: the app now says plainly that Apple holds the synced copy while sync is on, and it hides your journal in the app switcher.
