Fantastic app for the modern firearms owner.
Besides that though it will also keep track of rounds fired and alert you with different milestones when cleaning, oiling, or stripping needs to be done. Really nice feature that I would have lost track of otherwise.
The target analysis is a good way to track progress. I now take a picture of my targets during every range visit.
Really if you found this app, you need to download it.
It’s Basic
Unfortunately, this app does not offer enough details for me to utilize it on a functional level, and does not work on a MacBook Pro.
If you have more than one type of the same type of firearm, i.e. 3 different Glock 19’s, with different variations on the build, and utilize different types of ammo for each specific one it is difficult to align the correct weapon with the correct ammo.
The Ammunition section does not record all the ammunition factors needed to tie specific ammo to a range session.
Additionally, it does not cover any sort of shotgun aspects, specific to the type of gauge or shot weight or shell size that you are shooting with.
There are various other components missing from it as any average shooter or reloader would utilize and need access to have to be able to track and document for their benefit.
I’ll let you do your own digging, but the App Store has a much better app that is much more comprehensive and actually understands shooters, shotgunners, and reloaders needs.

RangeReady is designed primarily for individual shooters who want a simple way to track firearms, ammo, range sessions, and maintenance without complex setup. You can track multiple firearms of the same model by assigning each its own record name, notes, and configuration details. Ammo types are also tracked per inventory item and linked to range sessions. More advanced workflows (including expanded ammo metadata and additional shooting disciplines) are areas we may grow into over time, based on user demand. Just what I needed
Great app but needs polish
The app requires a non-zero quantity for ammo entries. When I’m temporarily out of a regularly purchased round, I don’t want to delete the entry and later re-enter all the details (caliber, bullet type, weight, SKU, etc.). Allowing a zero quantity or an “out of stock” state would make inventory management much easier.
I don’t track lot numbers, so I use “date received” as a general inventory date. This works, but a clearer distinction between cataloging ammo types and tracking current stock would help.
I would also like the ability to track suppressors. Suppressors have maintenance and cleaning intervals just like firearms, especially rimfire cans, but there’s currently no good way to log suppressed round counts or schedule suppressor maintenance.
I’ve also encountered some confusing logic when logging range sessions. Entering a session after the fact (e.g., yesterday’s range trip) sometimes behaves differently than entering one in advance. I don’t always log trips beforehand, so past-dated entries should work consistently and intuitively.
Overall, the app is close to being excellent, but relaxing some rigid inventory assumptions and improving support for accessories and retroactive logging would significantly improve usability.

Thank you for your feedback! In the new release (1.1.5) I addressed some of it: 1) Now ammo entry supports 0 as valid ammo count, it just displays "out of stock" label. You can also edit round count and increase it if you get a new batch (that's what I do for my records) 2) I fixed some inconsistencies with editing/logging range sessions, hope this resolved your issue, if not, please let me know and I'll fix it. Suppressors are not in 1.1.5 release, but I'm thinking about how to add them to the app, as I'm getting similar requests from other users. If you have any ideas - please share!
