What's New in Rouse
2.0.0
August 19, 2026
Rouse is now 100% private. - Your account is gone. Rouse no longer creates one — not even an anonymous one. There's nothing to sign in to and nothing to delete. - Sleep and health data never leaves your device. Not even to us. All AI — sleep stories, reports, briefings — now runs entirely on your iPhone. - No analytics, no ads, no trackers. Same as always, now with nothing to qualify. Rouse still talks to Apple and RevenueCat, our payment processor, for purchases, Apple for weather, and downloads a small settings file at launch. That's the whole list. NEW: BACK UP YOUR SETUP No account means nothing of yours sits on a server — so Rouse now lets you export your alarms, timers, routines, and countdowns to a file you keep, and import it on a new iPhone. Settings > Data & Privacy. If you used cloud-generated sleep stories, those now run on-device instead — same features, nothing sent anywhere. Sign in with Apple is gone too, because there's no longer anything to sign in to. Your purchases stay tied to your App Store account as always; use Restore Purchases on a new device.
