Great app but be aware
App works very well and I’m happy with the experience with listening to the radio.
However, be aware that when putting your phone number down for competitions, it will find its way onto scammers call lists

Good but not great.
If you use this as just a phone app, it’s okay. Bit slow but gets the job done. If you intent to use this to listen to your podcasts via Apple CarPlay, it’s a whole different kettle of fish. The app doesn’t remember where you got to in any given episode so you have to start from the beginning every time. And the worst part, if you listen or reply to a text (again through CarPlay) the app doesn’t pause your episode, it closes it. So you then have to go through the process of picking it on your infotainment system again, which is very very slow. It will even play the episode with no sound at times!
So the app does a job, Apple CarPlay is non existent. If this is what you want it for, use another app.

Still hasn’t been fixed months later
The app crashes when I select I podcast and updates keep coming saying bugs fixed but obviously it’s not a bug that I can’t play podcasts in an app that has podcasts in its name

You still expect us to manually rotate our ipads to use this stupid app. Means I can’t charge it when I’m using it on its stand. AND I USE IT IN PORTRAIT VIEW!! WHY IS YOURS THE ONLY APP IN THE WORLD THAT WILL NOT ROTATE ON THE SCREEN??!!!!!!!

Very primitive app
Oh well, I will not be listening to George FM unless they go to a different platform. This is the ONLY app on my iPad that WILL NOT ROTATE on the screen. VERY lazy app developers!! And FYI I use it in PORTRAIT view. Also why can’t you give us a permanent close X for that irritating Churdle thing covering the top of the screen. Plus a suggestion: it would be nice to be able to skip tracks in the music playlists.

Rova won’t reconnect on Alexa
I recently moved house and since I set up everything Alexa has not been able to connect to Rova. I cannot even find it in Skills now. I can play other stations ok but I prefer Magic Music. Currently playing Breeze Classic instead, though today it has been dropping off.

Lack of support for Amazon skill
I listen mainly through Alexa and for a second time it has stopped working due to geographical restrictions when I have not changed my location. Getting over this poor service from the app developer

One star rating purely because of the amount of personal data needed to activate the app. We already ‘pay’ for the service via the advertising we are subjected to.

Broken
Used to be a great app untill it got a big update that overhauled the whole application maybe a little over a year ago. It now constantly stops playing and I’m tired of force closing the app and restarting it. Today I’ve had to restart the app 4 times in just an hour of listening.

Overheating issues
My iPhone is having overheating issues. To the point it feels like a heating element in my pocket! Narrowed it down to each time I’m playing rova through bluetooth??? Have no idea why but seems to be wrecking my phone…
Finally fixed it
Now finally rotates with my iPad like every other app so I don’t have to view it upside down. I preferred the old layout though and the ads in the middle are annoying.
Battery life and stopping
I am finding the Rova app super hungry on battery. I try the run the radio all day but it flattens my iPad in less than a day. Spotify uses less than 10% in a day. Also Rova stops twice a day every day which is annoying. I would use Rova more if it was more reliable and used less battery.
