About

RPM Meter turns your phone into a stroboscope (strobe tachometer) for measuring the rotational speed of any spinning machine — motors, fans, pulleys, drills, propellers, turntables — without ever touching it. Fully offline, no internet required. How It Works Put a single mark on the spinning part, then dial in an RPM until the mark appears frozen. The value on screen is the machine's true RPM. It's the classic stroboscope principle, right in your pocket. Camera Mode A live camera preview is frame-sampled at your chosen frequency so the rotating part visibly freezes on screen — works in normal light. Tune the RPM with a precise keypad, ×2/÷2 harmonic buttons, or the seek bar. Manual exposure, ISO, focus, zoom, and lens selection help you lock in a crisp, sharp freeze. Strobe Light Mode Pulses your phone's torch (LED flash) at the chosen frequency to freeze motion in the dark — a real strobe light. The same screen doubles as a plain flashlight with a steady-torch button. Find the True RPM with Confidence A mark also freezes at multiples of the real speed (harmonics), so the same machine can read differently between modes. The built-in harmonic helper shows you the candidate speeds — just count the frozen marks you see and tap to set the true RPM. Start high and reduce for an accurate reading. Built-in Tools • RPM ↔ Hz, rad/s, and °/s conversions • Surface speed from diameter (m/s, m/min, ft/min) • Pulley / gear ratio calculator (driven RPM) • Save and label readings for later Why RPM Meter? • Fully offline — no account, no internet, complete privacy • Two modes: camera (bright light) and torch strobe (darkness) • Precise control up to 6000 RPM with a harmonic helper • Keeps the screen awake during measurement • Clean, dark, industrial design built for the workshop Note: phone hardware limits the maximum flash rate. The camera freeze is bounded by the screen/camera frame rate, and the torch realistically tops out near ~1500 RPM — use harmonics and the in-app tips for higher speeds. Download RPM Meter — Stroboscope and measure rotational speed anywhere, anytime, completely offline.
