Simple, elegant, beautiful, brilliant.

An elegantly designed, visually beautiful app with extremely fast and accurate response. MUCH more useful than a traditional tuner. I really like that the trace is displayed as a scatter plot instead of a line plot 👨‍🍳. And you can even choose the temperament!

A request for the developer — is it possible to add the functionality of a drone (sustained note) on a note of the user’s choice? Even if you have to choose between playing the drone and running the RTTA, it would be nice to have both functionalities in the same app.

Excellent

I am a recorder and clarinet player, and find the app brilliant for checking which notes I need to work on to keep in tune. Excellent!

Great little app

This is excellent for working out how accurate your tuning is throughout a piece whilst playing in real time. It's become a useful piece of kit for a tin whistler or a flute player, specially on a new instrument. Thank you for developing it!

Easy peesy

An excellent application for tuning the reeds on my concertinas.

Family shared apps keep disappearing

I purchased the app and shared with my family. It works very well on my phone and my daughter loves to leave it on to check whether she is in tune.

I am not giving it 5 stars because the app keeps disappearing from my wife’s and daugter’s phone. I hope this gets fixed soon. Otherwise, it’s excellent.

Great app but has started crashing a lot under IOS 11.0

A great practice tool!

For the student seriously working on their intonation, this tool is a necessity. It provides feedback over a longer period, say the length of a piece, instead of moment by moment as a meter does, This gives a huge advantage to those developing that all important relationship between the ear and the instrument. It should be in every flutist, recorder player, or ethnic flutist's tool box.

Bloody marvellous!

Although a certain amount of understanding of the readings is required this app is nonetheless the most amazing tuning app I have ever seen. I have no hesitation in recommending it, it's worth every penny.

Excellent and useful

Performs as intended, within the limitations described on McGee's website and imposed by the iPhone mic. Useful both for evaluating instrument characteristics, and also consistency of the player's intonation control.

My only gripe: on a phone, the display is very small. I wish a version for iPad had been included.

At last!

This is the first tuning app that is really useful for practice. The idea - to listen to a whole piece and present you with an analysis - is very different from the standard apps (I use singin Tuna a lot, for instance) in that it can help you work out where your pitching is systematically off, be that because of the instrument or the player. I help my children practice (trombone, trumpet, sax, violin, viola, cello) and it works well for each instrument. Thank you.

N

Great tool. I needed help setting it up to use with my Northumbrian pipes so I contacted Daniel who got back to me within hours with the info I needed. Very happy to recommend this app.

Innovative

Brilliant. There is nothing like this on the market.

Great tuning program

This is a wonderfully useful tuning program. Great compact interface with enough detail to be really useful. I’d love to have an OSX version too!
