AWESOME 5++ stars
This ported version of R Type is just like the original cabinet! I did have to mess around a little bit with settings to get it to be as classic as possible with no auto fire and get the screen to be in the correct ratio plus get scan lines to work, but overall DotEmu did an excellent job with making a ported version of R Type!

Always nice to play on your phone a game you loved in the arcades. The touch screen needs time to get used to as sensitive.
Faithful port
…of an arcade classic. This is true to the original, and just as hard! Controls have been fixed, plays great on an iPad with no issues - other than my own inability to dodge those lasers…money well spent and still haven’t made level 8 😅

Bugs on iPad
Great game however, it is buggy if you run it on an iPad. Your spaceship will randomly jump from the left side of the screen to the far right.

Die Darstellung ist zu sehr in die Breite verzerrt (besser seitlich schwarze Ränder lassen).
Broken
On iPad Pro this game just freezes and lags. When it eventually wakes up my ship has crashed :( I want my money back!

Terrible controls
Create a virtual analog stick on screen that is fast and responsive, not a slow, inaccurate D-Pad. These controls are absolutely terrible. It's not how the game is supposed to be played.

自機の操作も、"もしR-TYPEがアナログスティックで操作だったら…"的な動き方だし、細かな操作が効いて新しい感覚でプレイ出来るのだけど… 連射速度が遅すぎる！せめて15連相当にして欲しい！ 波動砲に謎のラグがある！「今だ！」って離してもラグで発射されずに失敗って事が多発する！ 今からでも遅くない！修正求む！
Awesome except for a few flaws
This was one of my favorite games when I was growing up and I am totally addicted to this new version. The only reason I’m giving it four stars and not five is that the touchscreen controls are buggy and frequently get jammed where you cannot move the spaceship, especially if you are touching two controls at the same time.

フルスクリーンをオフにすると画面縮小、右寄りになり左側に余白ができて便利だったのだがバグでその機能が使えないどころか画面全体がズレてしまってる
数少ないディメンションズにない便利な機能だったんで直して欲しい。これ無いならこっち買う意味全くないよ

It’s R-Type… what’s not to like?
The controls work pretty well.
I was able to play through the first stage on the first try (as I usually can), and then the creepy things on the second stage got me (as they usually do).
So feels like R-Type to me 😉

修正された！
タッチパネルのボタンの配置がおかしくなり、位置変えが出来なくなったのがようやく修正されました。時間はだいぶかかったけど。諦めてDimensionsの方も購入しましたけど、やっぱりヴァーチャルパッドで遊びたかったので有り難いです。
