Good
Battery is ok, they could do some smalls holes in the motor small wheel in order to have more traction when tire is wet because when tyre is wet battery wheel has small friction with the back wheel of the bike. So the battery small wheel should lood like a back tire of the bike, with small holes.
Beta product at best
There’s no way this product is anywhere close to ready for production. I’ve only gone on a few rides and it breaks down and/or overheats every time, the last time breaking completely and I had to sent the unit back for repair on only the 4th ride! Every time it breaks the company issues a bug fix, but then I have new issues the next time. The power is inconsistent and doesn’t provide any assistance going up hills. I’ve asked the company numerous times for a refund, but they flat out ignore me every time. Avoid this product and this company, it’s not much more money to just buy an eBike. I basically took a full loss on this.

Needs regenerative braking google on front screen
The app works well enough for me.
First screen allows you to toggle between the 3 power modes and shows a pretty accurate speed and the power bar.
Swipe right to The second screen which gives more information such as percentages of power your using and battery left, temperature of motor, voltage etc…
The settings menu gives more control over other aspects such as cargo mode which gives you that extra boost on starting and you can toggle the regenerative braking.
It’s the regen braking toggle that I would like to see on the first screen. The Rubbee X gets a bit confused when we to apply regen braking and it has kicked in on climbs bringing me to a dead stop and shut off on really long downhills where I could have used it!
So, please put a button on the first screen in your next update so I can turn it on before the downhill and off again before I start the climb! Delving into the settings while on the fly is not an option.
Cheers,

Not ready for prime time!
I’ve waited for this product since it was kicked start in 2014. Such a a great concept! Unfortunately my user experience is undeniable negative. I’m returnIng my RubbeeX after I speak to customer service. My issue is the software lags on communicating with motor unit. It becomes stuck on “RubbeeX Configuring”. I think this happens when the motor momentarily slips from making contact with the tire. After app becomes stuck your officially dragging the 8 kg of dead weight. Provides zero propulsion. Avoid the app trying the sensor. I’m not really what ruined my unit. It could also be defective. Just sharing my user experience since there is really not much review out there.

Key features not working
The battery capacity and speed display don’t work. Mode changing is ok.
Needs to work with iOS 15

App still has issues
After doing the app update it fails to see the sensor. Clearly the power unit is communicating with a sensor because it behaves normally on a bike ride. Just the app is having trouble seeing the sensor. You can change speeds etc. via the app but apparently it never sees the sensor. I ended up changing the battery because I thought the sensor battery may have failed. Also, if you have a shock absorbing seat column it’s hard to get the rhino clamp high enough on the seat column to allow The Rubby piston to extend far enough. What happens is when you have a big bump the Rubbee power unit bounces up and the piston hook reengages so that the rugby power unit is literally just riding along the tire without any pressure from the piston. The result is a lack of sufficient engagement between the drive wheel and the bike tire. There is a reduction in power applied to the tire. I can see how on normal non-compression see columns it would be fine. On level terrain without many bumps it works wonderfully well. Would be nice to be able to somehow address this issue.

Speed always shows zero
No matter what I try speed always shows zero.
Average app and doesn’t allow for adjustments
Average app and doesn’t allow iPhone accessibility for someone who is short sighted and needs their phone set to larger text option. Thus screen view is clumped together and hard to access parts of it.
Speed function also doesn’t appear to work

GPS not functional
No matter the speed I’m doing the readout always registers as zero
