Great idea, poor execution

If there could be an update to how leagues, clubs, teams, and players are connected I think that would solve a lot of the issues. You can’t navigate from one to the next almost ever which makes it hard to actually find what you’re looking for. Why do I need to find a specific league to find the team I’m looking for? It’s completely hidden from the club it belongs to. If this functionality exists, you need to provide training to the admins on the club side because it’s not consistent. Also please actually explain what the error messages mean like “the admin has not made this visible to you” when they have no idea what that means.

Response from developer

Thanks for taking the time to write this up, the detail is really useful. How leagues, clubs, teams and players connect to each other is an area we are continuing to develop, and feedback like this feeds directly into how we prioritise that work. We would like to understand your example properly. If you can send us a note at mobile@playhq.com with the team you were trying to find, the club it sits under and where you started looking, we can walk the same path and see what you saw. On the visibility message, some information is controlled by the club or league rather than by us, so what you can see will vary depending on how each organisation has set things up. Thanks again for the feedback. The PlayHQ team

Needs formatting

I like having a team app to follow but this one is cumbersome. You have to click and scroll to get more than one date/details. It doesn't synch to ios calendar like other team apps so each parent and player still have to transcribe to their planner anyway.

Thanks for taking the time to write this up, it is useful to hear how you are using the app week to week. How fixtures and schedules are laid out is an area we are continuing to develop, and specific examples help us prioritise. If you can send us a note at mobile@playhq.com describing what you would want to see on one screen and how you go about checking the schedule at the moment, that gives us something concrete to work with. It would also help to know which team or competition you are following, so we can look at the same view you are seeing. Thanks again for the feedback. The PlayHQ team

UX needs massive upgrades

I just want to be able to see every game being played on a specific match weekend and sort it be time. Way too many clicks to get anywhere I actually want and I keep having to go back and forth between divisions to see the information I want and then hope I find it.

There needs to be a way to see a master schedule for an entire province or weekend. Not just have to flip through match weeks in different divisions

Response from developer

Thanks for taking the time to write this up, the detail is really useful. A single view of everything on across a weekend, sorted by time rather than split by division, is a clear request and one we can take away. How fixtures are surfaced across competitions is an area we are continuing to develop, and feedback like this feeds into how we prioritise it. If you can drop us a note at mobile@playhq.com with the competitions you follow and how you would use a weekend view, whether that is planning your own travel, following several teams or something else, it gives us a much better picture of what to build. Thanks again for the feedback. The PlayHQ team

Useless

Downloaded the app and couldn’t see the whole first page and therefore couldn’t click through to anything else. Just frozen.

Response from developer

Thanks for flagging this, and sorry it was not a good first experience. That is not how the app should behave on opening, so we would like to look into it. A few releases have gone out since the version you were on, so it may already be resolved, but if it is still happening we want to know. Could you send us a note at mobile@playhq.com with your device model, your iOS version and a screenshot of what you are seeing? That gives us enough to reproduce it properly. Thanks again. Amazing!

Great to see PlayHQ develop a rugby app!
