Lineal als Abonnement, dazu Datenschutzprobleme
Ein Schatten ihrer selbst, Basisfunktionen alle nur noch mit Abonnement zu haben, Lineal mit Abo, es gibt doch immer wieder Überraschungen ins Negative. Früher gut gemachte App, übersichtlich und exakte Messergebnis, die Einstellungen zum Datenschutz sind allerdings erstens unübersichtlich und zweitens problematisch. Allen ernstes werden von Dutzenden Anbietern Einwilligung für "berechtigtes" Interesse gefordert, die man erst per Hand mühsam abwählen muss. Unter anderem sogar die Preisgabe des Standortes, was soll denn das für ein Lineal? Die Apple eigene App Maßband taugt genauso viel. sehr schade, dass hier eine App als Datenschleuder daherkommt. Nach dem letzten Update endgültig gelöscht, wirklich schade

Disappointed
I used this ruler for years. I like that it’s a simple, straightforward ruler and it used to be mostly free to use, but now they try to push you to sign up for a subscription. You can still use the ruler without one, but you can’t use the sliders anymore and that was the feature I liked most about it. Also, now you have to go through a few screens promoting the subscription when you open the app, which is annoying when you’re trying to measure something quickly. I’m going to try to find another ruler app that has sliders I can use for free. If I find one, I’m deleting this app, which sucks bc I’m a creature of habit and I was used to this one ☹️

Ist nicht empfehlenswert, man muss 2,99€ Monatlich zahlen nur um einen kleinen Bereich zu messen und die Angaben sind sehr undeutlich aber Kamera Funktion geeeht…

unglaublich das einfach in ein Abo umzuwandeln obwohl ich die App ja schon hatte, ich bin echt sauer darüber… plötzlich soll ich bezahlen und das auch noch monatlich?!?!
Also jetzt mal Hand aufs Herz, wer braucht ein Linieal als Abomodell und das auch noch zu diesem Preis??? Einen Einmalkauf hätte ich mir ja noch gefallen lassen, aber das schlägt dem Fass den Boden aus.
Also nehme ich mir lieber wieder meinen Zollstock mit.
Für diese Dreistigkeit ist ein Stern noch zu viel … App gelöscht!

You’re charging for this now?
Uninstalling as soon as I write this review. This app was simple - which is all I need - but suddenly, after years and years of offering this at no charge, you’ve decided to go from free to a ridiculously high fee?! Bad decision.
$5 a week subscription for a ruler

Scam
You have to pay to use it now. It used to be free.
Requires internet connection
Today I had to measure something in a forest with no cell signal. The app refused to open, and gave an error related to No Internet Connection. When I got a cell signal later the app opened as usual. If there was some sort of app update required, why is there no Background App Refresh setting available for this app?

I hate the update
I updated the app only to have less functionality and be offered the chance to pay for the same function I JUST had 5 minutes ago! Absolutely, horribly unethical. You should be notified if the update will REMOVE functionality! And worst of all, it’s inaccurate as a ruler!
