Rumskrot Pulse

Rumskrot Pulse is a Bluetooth Low Energy debugger for firmware engineers and makers. It is the app you reach for when a characteristic isn't notifying the way it should, when a beacon is advertising mystery bytes, or when you're walking the office checking antenna placement. Pulse shows you what every device nearby is actually saying, then takes you all the way down the stack. Everything runs on your device. SEE WHAT EVERY DEVICE IS SAYING • Beacons decoded right in the scan list: iBeacon UUID, major and minor; Eddystone URL or UID; Apple Continuity messages named. • Unnamed devices identified. When a peripheral advertises a useless name, Pulse fingerprints it from its advertisement: heart rate monitor, RuuviTag, Tile tracker, Nordic DFU target, Matter commissioner and more. • A live RSSI sparkline on every row, so you see a trend, not just a number. • Distance estimates for beacons that carry calibrated TX power. WALK THE WHOLE GATT TREE • Every service, characteristic and descriptor, with SIG names and properties. • Negotiated MTU and maximum write and notify payload sizes, so you know whether to chunk a write before you try. • Read with structured rendering for standard formats, subscribe to live notify and indicate timelines, and write with or without response. SENSOR DATA, NOT HEX Live dashboards for standard profiles: heart rate with RR-interval HRV, battery level with drain rate, and environmental sensing for temperature, humidity and pressure. DEBUG THE CONNECTION ITSELF • A timestamped event log of every CoreBluetooth callback: connect, discover, read, write, notify, RSSI, disconnect. • Every GATT walk is kept. Compare two snapshots after a firmware update and see what was added, removed or changed. • Nordic Secure DFU through Nordic's official library: pick a firmware package and watch it upload. • An L2CAP connection-oriented channel tester for raw byte streams. • An offline advertisement decoder: paste raw hex and get the iBeacon, Eddystone (URL, UID, TLM) and Apple Continuity breakdown. ON YOUR WRIST A companion Apple Watch app scans with the watch's own radio: nearby devices sorted by signal, live RSSI trends, and a connected view with approximate distance when the advertisement allows it. AUTOMATE IT Scan, inspect services, read, write, subscribe, track signal strength and decode advertisements from Shortcuts and the Action Button. These probe runs are recorded in History, with CSV export for scans and JSON for other probe results. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No backend, no telemetry, no analytics, no accounts. History and saved peripherals stay on this device. The only third-party code is Nordic's DFU library and the ZIPFoundation library it uses, and neither does any networking.
