Tracking never actually works

Tried to use this twice now to track runners live and the tracking is awful. It seems to just guess where they are based on their estimated finish time or doesn’t recognise that they’ve started at all.

Hi there, thanks for the feedback, and we’re sorry the tracking did not meet your expectations. The app uses timing mat reads to provide predictive tracking, so athletes do not need to carry a mobile device. If the first timing point is further into the course, or a timing read is missed, locations may remain estimated for longer than expected. Easy to use

Tracked my husband through this. It was great, all made sense and made tracking him really easy!

Great app upgrade

Love the new Run4Wales app. Looks really modern and slick. The map overview is great and I really liked the leaderboards. Easy to navigate and reliable while we were tracking our runners. Well done Run 4 Wales.

really nice upgrade from the old app, much slicker look and enjoyed the notifications. Nice touch for this years events

If it ain’t broke…

So much worse than the old app. No list view, no searching by club, leaderboards not working at checkpoints or finish, no estimated finish time just a rough time of day. Scrolling to the end of a map view to add participants is clunky and slow, massive downgrade
