Awesome app, played it a few times already, very addictive !

Awesome Games, I Love IT!

Run Flappy Run is a great game and I sure that this game will be the best game in the world.

Hooked!

This is a great casual game, it's not difficult to a frustrating extent, but also provides a challenge.

The power ups also kept the gameplay interesting.

Higher resolution images for certain items would make the game visually perfect.

My only real complaint would be the use of multiple ads and the fact that the "Facebook" dialogue isn't a button which actually takes you to the developers page.

Still a great game I will undoubtedly play when in the mood for it.

easy Flappy Bird + weak Robot Unicorn Attack

Fair warning, I played the game for a grand total of about 10 minutes, so my review may not be a wholly complete rendition of the game. I will be assuming the game is based on the mechanics that have defined core elements of the side-scrolling runner genre: Flappy Bird and Robot Unicorn Attack. If you feel those games' mechanics aren't relevant to this title, then my review may not prove as useful to you.

Given what I saw, it seems like the intense difficulty of Those two games has been removed in this one. You die not by hitting an obstacle, but by those obstacles eventually pushing you out of the left side of the screen. There are coin collectables and upgrades you can pick up that boost you temporarily, helping you to "catch back up" from mistakes. It reminded me much more of Robot Unicorn Attack where you have two consecutive jumps and must make it through the level's various obstacles. The precision necessary to be successful seems to be downgraded in this title, though not to such an extent that you won't feel pressured at all. No, you certainly do feel pressured, but for the wrong reasons entirely.

It seems like it would be a fine game overall except for the controls. The controls as they are (at the time of this review - who knows. Maybe the developer will update the game at some point) essentially hamstrings you into failing in a manner that leaves feeling as though the game has cheated you, rather than feeling as though you simply weren't skilled enough / need to practice.

First, when jumping, it is extremely difficult to control the intensity of your jump, so you have little control over your verticality as you move. (The game's would-be inspirations that I've mentioned previously make it a point to ensure that the player has excellent control over their vertical position in the level based on the length of their input, even though that sometimes means a high level of precision is necessary.

Secondly, you only get two jumps before you have to come back down to the ground. This makes it incredibly difficult to feel as though you are in control of your position as the speeds increase and obstacles on the ground seem to automatically push you back as your legs are crippled so-to-speak. For comparison, consider flappy bird that permits infinite "jumps" and Robot Unicorn Attack that lets you use a cooldown-based dash as a boost/attack combo that also resets your second jump, effectively allowing you to string together jumps and dashes to keep vertical infinitely, if you use it correctly. That deep level of vertical control is missing from this side-scrolling runner, and it is this core mechanic from its sources (or some variation on them) that Run Birdie Run desperately needs if it too wants to be successful.
