What's New in Run Lap Tap

4.23

October 12, 2026

Race-day fixes. • Pause now keeps the correct time. After pausing and resuming, the clock could jump back and affect times recorded afterwards. Thanks to the teacher who reported it • The screen now stays on while you're timing, so your phone won't lock at the finish line • The race clock stays accurate even if your phone locks during an event

Does not keep accurate time

The app did not reflect an accurate race time when compared to a watch. It’s possible the app stops timing if the phone/tablet goes to sleep.

This is such a simple idea that is something I have truly being missing in my PE classes. It’s incredible and the students love it.

Fair call — that prompt shouldn’t have been so hard to close, and we’ve fixed it. If the app’s been useful to you, we’d really appreciate an updated rating. Thanks for letting us know.

QR codes don’t work

The QR codes do not work. You can’t print out the codes correctly and the camera does not recognize the code.
