Who Approved Of This?

To put it simply, I used to play Run Roo Run in the past on an older device, but I never beat the game due to how difficult it was for me as a kid and not an adult like I am now, but upon seeing it wasn't in any of the apps me or my family had previously downloaded, I searched it up in the app store, and there it was. It seemed to have a new name in the title though when it autofilled in the Search Bar, but I tapped it anyway, only to download the game and be met with something popping up and overlaying the nostalgic title screen, and it requests me to make a subscription just to play the game.

Whoever did this needs to back off on childhood favorite games, like if a fun game I used to play as a kid like Jetpack Joyride or Colossatron suddenly asked me to hecking play the game EXCLUSIVELY via a subscription first instead of just letting me play the game like before, then I'd never play it again.

This is NOT how you gain fans on the internet. Way to pull a 'Nintendo', and end up putting everything behind a payment of some kind, like DLC or the subscription for Nintendo Switch Online. It's absurd and only drives once-dedicated fans like me away, but that's different because it isn't from a game I had previously gotten before, and it doesn't force me to pay upfront instead of letting me just play half of the game and lock the rest behind a one-time payment that's accessible with a 'restore purchases' option manually and/or automatically without having me reach out directly to the current owners of the app using my personal information that I'm pretty much giving them if I had typed up a complain to them. (Like my Email Address, because I consider that personal information.)

Very Disappointed

When I was around 6-8 years old, I would play this game all the time. I would play it with my brothers and my dad as well, and we would see who could beat the game faster. We were in traffic the other day, and I came across the game again. We were all so exited to play, but found out that you need to have a monthly $10.00 subscription to play past chapter one. This just makes me upset, and I really wish that I could play the rest. It literally took me only ten minutes to finish. I wish that they would change this somehow.

Game is completely unplayable

Won’t even connect to the subscription servers anymore.

Why why why

Used to play this game as a super young kid and wanted to revisit it for old times sake. I have no clue why you would block it with a paywall. My day is ruined. It is not worth your dollar.

Gameclub doesn’t work

This subscription thing doesn’t even work it just took my money what a waste

its very disappointing

like everyone else here, i also played this as a kid, finished the whole game and today i came back for the memories after finally finding it and was very disappointed and sad to see how you guys sold out i guess, i just wish to play again:( very sad

should have a one time purchase

when i was younger i remember i just had to pay a dollar or two to play. why do i have to pay five dollars a month now? i don’t want to access all of gameclub.

So sad

Gotta pay like £5 a month, Game completely ruined from when I remember it from my childhood, such a shame.

Gameclub ruined our childhood

When I was a kid, you could play the entire game, BUT FREE. Now it’s a subscription to some random company who ruins peoples childhood so you can’t even play past chapter one without paying, I will never be paying for something that should be free

Why?

I used to love playing this game many years ago, and I would download it back every now and then to play the levels through again because it was nostalgic and fun, so I had the idea of showing this game to my girlfriend today bc I thought she would think it is a cute game with cute kangaroos, but then i found out that you have to pay to get access to the last 19 out of 20 chapters of the game?! Not cool☹️ I just wanted to play a fun childhood game with my gf☹️

:(

I used to love this game but I recently re download it again and I got through one level and now I have to pay to play the rest :(

Subscription-based :(

This is the only game in the whole subscription I want to play, and I have to pay way more than I did for the original RRR. Luckily, I still have access to the original somehow so >:)

Huh???

I’ve had this game when i was younger and you didn’t have to join anything before. why tf do you have to join a “gameclub” in order to play. that makes no damn sense

Run too run

I hate how it makes me pay and do game club

This is ridiculous

I remember playing this game as a kid, and it hold so much nostalgia for me and so i searched it up today to play it. I was so dissapointed that you had to buy a subscription to play the game, gameclub has completely ruined this game. Its not fair that you have to pay five dollars a month to play this game, and i doubt anyone is going to pay that much.

Used to be Fun

Remember when this game didn’t spam you with ads and you could play without having to pay $60 a month? You can’t even pass world one without it.

Response from developer

Everyone who bought our games previously should continue to have full access to the game without starting a subscription. However, in the case of Run Roo Run, it is no longer possible to detect a previous purchase automatically. Please write us at support@gameclub.io to get it straightened out.

Nostalgia

I remember playing this as a child and I randomly remembered it. But now you have to pay to get past Chapter 1 ;( I just wanted some nostalgia;(

change rhe game

i liked it before u could play all levels but now you ruined it

This game is fun kinda

This game is fun but you have to pay money to get unlimited gameplay for some reason like I just downloaded this game and already asked me for one to play chapter 2 soo that means you can only play chapter 1 which is boring but I do like the music

Superjfjgohlc
