Time out of sync

What an awful app, I rode around Sydney at 4 landmarks thinking I missed my partners first marathon. Trying to take video of her. The app showed her 10 mins AHEAD of where she was. And at the finish line it said she crossed the line and then I thought I missed it, then I closed the app and logged back in and it said she was still 10 minutes away, but she was actually 20 minutes away.

I have no idea how the app was putting her running 10 mins into the future. It’s like it guessed her route. Really dissapointed and I missed every shot thinking she had ran passed me, when. In fact she hadn’t got to me yet.

Don’t rely on it, I get it being a delayed. But to be 10 mins into the future is baffling.

Not functional

App stopped working partway through the race, unable to trace my partner or see any times.

Good, great then shocking

Imagine you’re tracking your mates running through 80% of the race, only for the entire app to crash and all info and splits gone!
Very disappointing experience that started off so well!

Stopped working 30mins in!!

I tried to track my friends on the app and 30mins in it stopped working - if you tried to load it, it just was a white screen with an error. SO FRUSTRATING

A balanced opinion

Honestly, dislike negative nancies - other guy is cooked. Nothing wrong with the app. Does what it says on the box.

Broken App

Tracker completely wiped an hour or so into the race. Can’t search up athletes anymore, wiped all my saved athletes. Just blind now.

Need a lot of work

Terrible

Waste of time, slow with updates, terrible

Still waiting for my name to appear

Edit: name updated prior to race, so all okay!

List hasn’t been updated for the Hoka Half. I want my friends and family to watch.

Willing to change review score if list gets updated

Terrible user interface

Constant freezes when swiping around the map

Useless app with no race information

A few days before Hoka Half 2025, the app is missing all the key information making it useless for the race.

Error

Couldn’t find myself in the app eventhough i registered

Glitched the whole race

From marathon start to finish this app ran slow or spent a huge proportion of the time frozen.

Garbage

App completely fizzed out right near the end of the race

Doesn’t work

Stopped working in the middle of a race

Disappointing

Trying to track my friend running in the Noosa marathon and the app has completely stopped working an hour into the marathon and still is t working! Very frustrating. Hope they can fix this glitch before the next race!

Didn’t work during Sydney half

Would start at all until well after race start. Kept seeing type error messages. When the map did work it kept resetting the athlete positions. Now 3/4 through and tracking has disappeared altogether. Pretty poor for such an esteemed event series.

Lame Technology

Unbelievable - when I watched the Sydney half marathon and tried to track a participant I was unable to do so on the map. Is this the best you can do??

Fantastic app

Awesome experience had using this app. Was able to get updates for the upcoming race, follow mates running in real-time and get info about the post race events. Really well designed, easy to use, and the push notifications throughout the day worked seamlessly.
Big ups to the back end developers for building a scalable solution that worked great on the big day.

Great pre-race day

Great preface but wouldn’t work at all on the day! Too many people trying to keep an eye on friends and family perhaps?
