Excellent App support

I initially was having some problems with bad data being reported on the app. Pascal immediately responded to my problem, worked with me over several weeks to correct the problems, and now everything works as he intended with my treadmill. If you're having a problem, I cannot recommend enough that you contact him to see if he is able to fix it. This is a great app, and it's really made tracking treadmill workouts more enjoyable and less painful. Thank you for the a great app!
PS...you ought to charge a fee for this app. There isn't another like it out there.

Bad data

I used this app successfully for a few runs, when I first downloaded it. Since those runs, though, any time I pair it to my treadmill (Wahoo KICKR Run) as a foot pod, and start a run, the distance usually immediately reads "38.18mi", and the elevation gain starts at 6000ft, and increases by many thousands of feet until the app crashes. I have tried turning BT off and on, reinstalling the app, but haven't had success. My treadmill is not one of the smart treadmills, but it does show up as a foot pod, successfully(the fees times it worked properly) displaying power and automatically displaying the correct incline (and computed elevation gain) when I change it on the treadmill, or if Zwift changes my treadmill incline. This is a great app, and I think it is very unique in the treadmill space. If you have time, I would appreciate you trying to troubleshoot this, so I can again enjoy your app. Thank you.

Response from developer

Hi TexDrex, I am very sorry to hear RunCline does not work with your treadmill. The new Wahoo KICKR RUN is just getting released to the market. It may not be directly compatible just yet with RunCline but I'll be happy to work with you to have it supported. Please send me an email at pcarrieres at hotmail dot com and I'll be happy to work with you to resolve the issue quickly. Out of the 60+ treadmills supported by RunCline, I have only one at home. Treadmill manufacturers do not publish their private bluetooth protocols so I have to work with you and others to add the functionalities in RunCline.

App is not updated — Zero Support

App has only wiki documentation, but no way to support bugs or get help with issues. Could be a good app, but right now I can calculate gain in a web browser app. Just ran 4.5 miles on the main screen. After ending run it shows 7.37 miles, no not km. So there are inconsistencies with this app and some functions don’t even work. If a an app developer can’t update their app at least with 90 days or provide support, then it should be removed from the App Store.

App crashing

I really like the idea for the app, but it crashes a second after connecting to my new Domyos TC540C on any device I try (iPhone & iPad). Is this treadmill still compatible?

Great App

This app also works well with SmartTrac smart treadmills. I recently went to Garmin Smart Watch and added the Heart Rate chest strap. RunCline picked up the HRM immediately, no problem. All this is now integrated into the Garmin Connect app for an outstanding detailed workout and health tracking system. Thanks much for developing this outstanding app!!

Startrack Smart Treadmill

App works great on this treadmill.
Two-questions:
1) what is best smart watch for the money that can be used with the app?
2) Any way to manually enter step length or SPM?

Needs Data Logging

The app works great on a Star Trac smart treadmill. All data is recorded including incline. However when the activity is ended all data is lost even though my iPhone Health app recognizes it. It needs to have a data history review similar to the “Goals-Fitness” app that keeps the history within the app instead of counting on the Health app to log the history. Otherwise it’s a great app!!

not working on iOS 17 iPhone 15 pro max

the app on iOS 17 does not seem to be able to find my Stryd devices, I have two stryds and I could not find them… on iOS 15 I can find my Stryd devices without issues, I will update my review once the issue is resolved ( Thank you developer! You should be charging for this app 😅✌🏻)

Thank you!

Thanks for solving something that Strava and Zwift cannot - recording incline for treadmills! Only feedback is to record local time for workouts rather than a time off the coast of Africa. Thanks again for the app!

Great app to get elevation data into Strava

My treadmill (Technogym) like many treadmills doesn’t record elevation data for virtual runs. With this app, you can inject incline into the recorded treadmill data. So for example, you can use it to add incline data to the feed it sends to Zwift, and your Zwift or Strava virtual run will then correct elevation data. I am using this every day for my workouts, it is reliable and works great.

Need some help with treadmill connection

The app would be amazing if I could get it to work. It says on your Wiki to send screenshots to the email but it doesn’t list the email. I am using the Horizon 7.4 at, a Garmin 945 and I use Zwift on my iPad. I was throng to use RunCline on my iPhone. It sees the treadmill and connects but the data doesn’t come through. I connected the app to my Garmin and it worked with it. I just want to figure out how to get it working with the treadmill! Hope to hear back soon

Fantastic

App performs exactly as described. The developer has identified a gap in Zwift and has helped to bridge that gap flawlessly. Thank you!

Excellent app

Very easy to use, connected with my RUNN treadmill sensor easily and perfect recording. Just email FiT file and upload to strava. Only issue is I can’t seem to disable location and it uploads my run as somewhere to the SW of Africa. Apart from that, perfect.

Perfect for indoor training

This app is the perfect app you’ll be looking for for running indoors on a treadmill. Allowing you to connect Stryd, treadmill and hrm.
It allows you to connect to different training apps or used alone. Perfect for zwift(can auto incline if you want)
It’s does everything you need!

The developer is amazing and will help with any issues, just flick him a message and he’ll help out.

Won’t work

Had an auto start function that never auto starts

Good idea but execution needs work

As a mobile developer this is great idea. The settings screen needs allot of work my eyes not what they used to be after string at a screen for 20 years.

Also not everyone runs at a 5.5 kmh pace when starting their run it be good if you could customise this.

Also i would like to have ability to automically upload my details to starva i no they offer an api sometimes for free depending on the app.

But overall a good attempt and good luck on uohr goals. I dont like idea having to pay ifit just to get my data.

Great app

This app is excellent. There was a small glitch initially so I emailed Pascal. He responded within an hour and fixed it (it was a very minor HR issue). Very nice guy. The app works perfectly for me now.

It’s awesome!

I just want to say thank you to the developers, this is exactly what I was looking for. Every app I’ve tried does not transfer treadmill vertical gain properly to strava or training peaks but this does!! And it connects to my very basic Sole F63 flawlessly to know the vertical percent as I change it on the treadmill. It’s just awesome and thank you so much. Sharing your completed runs to RunGap will get your files to all the places you track like strava, training peaks, Garmin, etc. Thank you for making this app!!

Neat concept

Easily and accurately picks up my NPE Runn Bluetooth sensor and Wahoo HRM when using iFit. Like the option of emailing yourself a FIT file for easy upload to Strava. Recommended.

Now supports my Proform

This App is great, no more fussing with a footpod or my NPE RUUN, this just works! I used to use in manual mode but now using the Bluetooth in my Proform 1000 I have a smart treadmill - amazing!
