I like the simplicity of the app. Would it be possible to add a preview view for html or markdown? Let know if it’s in premium purchase and I’ll get it asap.

Good app, needs code preview
I use Runestone to view and edit code, and to view plain text documents. When it comes to code, the feature set is ok. I subscribed to premium. I appreciate the one time purchase as opposed to subscription. The only feature I really want that isn’t included is a preview of the code. A side-by-side view, code/preview, would be awesome.

Linebreaks copy paste bug
Editor is inserting 7 additional linebreaks for each linebreak when copy pasting a section that includes linebreaks, needs fix. Also the app is very unstable(it became more so recently?), editing existing text almost always crashes the app if it involves multiple lines at once or is done too fast. Great design but leaves much to be desired in stability

Amazing!
Great app and highly recomended. Thank you for making this app! One of the first coding apps I found that works offline, and dose not require you to pay for anything important, and works fin. The only issue i found is that copy, past, and cut do not work geat. PLS fix.
Excellent text editor for iOS
Allows awesome text editing on iOS. Doesn’t hijack the default viewer (like literally EVERY OTHER iOS text editor I’ve tried) but easy to open files with when I _do_ want to use it. I’d give it 6, 7, even 8 stars if I could!!

Really great editor
Initially I purchased a competing product because it showed up in multiple reviews online. However that editor has a big solid colour title bar that cannot be hidden. Once I tried Runestone I realized belatedly that I made a somewhat costly mistake. This app has a small non-intrusive title bar and the default theme looks good off the bat. I use Sublime Text and this looks similar when editing bash scripts. Even the Open File screen looks very slick. And it’s reasonably priced. I wish I had tested this one first.

Exactly what I need!
This is the perfect little app for when AI gives me text for various formats of docs and I need to copy them in and make sure the format is going to be right and it will save where I need. Thanks so much!

Funny thing is the people who don’t know what they’re getting themselves into are not the ones to blame but they do have the ability to make their own decisions about what they’re actually doing with the time they have left to spend with the joker’s life…

Do not use this app
Spent 4 hours on a doc and when I went to save nothing happened. Tried manually saving, nothing. Closed the app and reverted all edits back to default. Absolute trash

Perfect addition to my work flow, developing on the iPad just got better with Runestone, the Easter egg also gets an additional star that sadly wont show up on here.

You have to upload your pages on your site to view and edit again, upload again. This gets old real fast!

I use this almost every day as I format different files to adjust Ai instructions and now it's a direct replacement of the Notes App, for me. Apple is stupid for not making you an offer to have this be a direct extension of the Files App, operating within it, or the Notes App. Especially where they are slowing moving into making their devices more Ai compatible...
You should approach Apple. I bet they would make you an offer.
They don't have a native app to create file types really, and have only recently added Markdown functions to the Notes App. That would be dope if instead it said "Open File/Note in Runestone"
I've noticed Runestone cannot open pre-existing files in the Files App, so I'm assuming Apple blocks that.
Who knows, maybe you can just patch that 🤷🏻♂️
Either way, I love this app. I've built so much with it. Thank you for making it. I hope you can eventually get a recurring revenue option from Apple. This App deserves to be a Native Apple App.

Great Text Editor
Works great. Nice feature set, while still being straightforward and easy to use. Just wish there was a Mac version.
Please add more custom highlighting!
This is the best text editor for iPad. Some needs, if the dev would please be so valiant:
1. Vertical text mode for CJK scripts, please! I know, not likely, but it would be very helpful and lovely.
2. Custom formatting and hinting configurations other than those packaged. Lisps!
3. Changing the font between different windows. This helps with certain languages.
