Rungs: Rank Anything

You already know what you love. You just can't put it in order. Ask someone to rate a coffee out of ten and they'll stall. Was that an 8? An 8.5? What does 8.5 even mean? But ask them which of two coffees was better and they'll answer instantly — and they'll be right. That's the whole idea behind Rungs. HOW TO USE IT 1. Tap one of the starter ladders on the first screen, or make your own — give it a name, an icon and a colour. 2. Open the ladder and tap "Add something". Type a name, and add a photo or a note if you like. 3. Answer one gut check: Loved it, Liked it, or Not for me. Don't think about it. 4. Now the duels. Rungs shows you two cards — the new thing and something already on your ladder — and asks which is better. Tap whichever you prefer. 5. Three or four taps later it's done. The item lands at its exact rank with a score out of ten, and everything around it re-settles. Press and hold any row to rank it again or remove it. Tap the button at the top right to export your ladder as a share card. WHY IT WORKS The score is never something you invent. It comes from where the item actually landed, so it stays honest as your ladder grows. Underneath it is a binary search, which is why a ladder of a hundred things still only takes about four taps.
