About

Runner Lab reads your runs from Apple Health and turns them into a clear picture: how much you've done, where you're heading and what you can reach by the end of the year. Everything happens ON YOUR IPHONE. Runner Lab reads your data read-only, never writes to Health, has no account and uses no tracking. YEARLY GOAL & PROJECTION • Set a kilometre goal for the year. • See progress, weekly pace and your end-of-year projection: will you make it? • Compare against the ideal plan, week by week. WIDGET & SHORTCUTS • The "Year" widget on your Home Screen and Lock Screen: kilometres, goal, projection and last run. It refreshes when you open the app, and says so when the data gets old. • Three actions for the Shortcuts app: the year goal, your best over a distance, the last run. SHARE & EXPORT • A card to share for a run, a record or the goal, with no coordinates and no maps. • Every run as GPX and the archive as CSV: your data stays yours. FORM & TRAINING LOAD • Fitness, fatigue and today's form (CTL/ATL/TSB), acute/chronic ratio, time in zone. • Recovery: resting heart rate, HRV and VO₂max over time. HISTORY • Years side by side, months and weeks with the indoor split, seasonality. • Habits: the year's calendar, consistency, your typical week, times of day and run lengths. RECORDS & PREDICTIONS • Personal records on standard distances (1 km, 1 mile, 5K, 10K, half, marathon). • Race-time predictions based on the Riegel formula. RECURRING ROUTES • Runner Lab recognises the routes you run often by comparing shape and GPS track. • Rename, merge or split groups however you like. ADVANCED PER-RUN ANALYSIS • Per-kilometre splits, elevation, climbs and descents, rhythm changes. • Heart rate, zones, training load (CTL/ATL/TSB), efficiency factor and decoupling. THE RUNNER LAB EDGE Apple only computes form and load for natively-recorded workouts. Runner Lab computes them ALSO for runs imported into Health from other apps or devices — a complete picture you won't get elsewhere. RUNNER PRO The numbers are free: goal and projection, the year-by-year archive, today's form, personal records over every distance, indoor times and the list of recognised routes. Runner Pro unlocks the readings: the training-load curves and what they mean, the daily advice, race predictions and record progression, comparisons between repeats of a route, zones and advanced per-run analysis, Habits and period trends in History. Available as a subscription or a one-time purchase. The yearly subscription starts with a seven-day free trial. ACCESSIBILITY • The whole app follows Larger Text, all the way to accessibility sizes. • With VoiceOver the charts can be walked with the Audio Graph: pace sounds like a pace, not like a decimal number. • Contrast measured role by role in both themes, 44-point tap targets, and Reduce Motion respected. PRIVACY No server, no account, no tracking. Processing happens on your device; the only exception is optional and off by default: turn on "Names from the starting place" and a route's starting point is sent once to Apple's geocoding service to obtain its name. Requires runs recorded in Apple Health. No data yet? You can explore the app with sample data. What's New in Runner Lab

2.3

September 8, 2026

• **The widget shows your form.** In the medium widget with a goal, the form takes the place of the verdict the bar already gives: the band and the signed number, the last one the app computed. It stays while it is less than two days old, the same clock the widget uses to declare stale data; past that the verdict comes back, instead of a band decided three days ago. • **The widget taps through where it matters.** Each cell of the medium size opens where its number is explained: form opens Form, the record opens Records, the rest opens Year. • **Indoor runners are visible.** In the medium widget without a goal, the record is your indoor time when you have none on the road over 10 or 5 km, and it says so: "Indoor 10 km". The shareable card of a treadmill run now carries the word "Indoors", which three rules in place of the shape of the route never said. • **One clock.** The widget and the Shortcuts actions declare old data by the same threshold, after two days: before, the widget said it and the action stayed quiet until the seventh. • **The actions tell you where you're heading.** "Year goal" now adds the end-of-year projection, the same one you read in the medium widget. And in the Shortcuts app the three actions explain themselves, instead of being a list label. • **Charts you can hear.** With VoiceOver the Audio Graph now walks the period trend, the year comparison, a run's elevation profile and the heat chart: four curves you could previously only look at. Pace sounds like a pace, not like a decimal number. • **The free trial shows, and so does the price.** The yearly subscription button reads "Start free trial" when the trial is yours to take. The terms now sit above the button and always carry the figure: before, whoever picked the monthly plan read renewal and cancellation and no price at all. And switching plans no longer makes the page jump. • **More honest numbers after an update.** The widget does not show records computed under superseded criteria: they are recomputed the first time you open the app. And a form decided under changed criteria is not repeated: the cell goes back to the verdict, until the calculation says it again under today's rules. And if you have not granted access to Health yet, the widget shows your goal instead of a zero nobody measured. • **Verdicts that wait for enough data.** Heart-rate variability is measured against the preceding weeks rather than against itself, so a week-long drop no longer reads as balance. The aerobic-base verdict stays quiet on months with a single run. And if you have just started, the end-of-year projection is computed over the weeks you actually ran, not diluted over eight. • **Clear about what is free.** Today's form, your personal bests and the recognised routes have been free since 2.0, and the screens describing Runner Pro still listed them among its features. Now the paywall, the Settings footer and the last step of the introduction say what Pro adds: the load curve beneath the number, the daily advice, the zones, race predictions and the comparison between repeats of a route. • **Numbers that no longer contradict each other.** In "How often you run" the label at the top read "every 2 days" while the highlighted bar below it marked a single day: those are the average gap and the gap you repeat most, and now they say so. Elevation above a thousand metres carries a thousands separator, from a run's summary to the year's "you climbed 12,345 m". And the Habits info button opens the Habits card, not the one about recent runs. • **Large text and reduced motion.** The headers of the five sections and the split rows grow with the text instead of writing over the next line; with Reduce Motion the loading bar no longer scrolls forever; at accessibility sizes the Home advice reserves four lines instead of two, and the sentence that used to be cut mid-word now fits.
