About

Every run hides a song. Runphony reads a run or walk you have already recorded and composes an original piece of music from it — one that follows your pace, your effort and the shape of your route. There is nothing to record. Pick a workout you already have, and the track is generated on your phone in seconds. Every track is instrumental. Runphony plays your run on synthesised instruments — there are no vocals and no lyrics. HOW YOUR RUN BECOMES MUSIC Runphony does not put a stock beat behind your run. Every part of the track is derived from your data: - Your cadence sets the tempo. 170 steps per minute becomes 170 beats per minute. - The phases of your run become the sections of the song. Warm-up, steady, push, sprint and cool-down each get their own musical role, so the track has a beginning, a build, a peak and a resolution. - Your effort controls the arrangement. More layers and more energy where you worked hardest, sparser where you eased off. - Your heart rate, when available, shapes the mood of the piece. - Your route shapes the structure. A loop comes home to where it started; an out-and-back mirrors itself on the way back. - Climbs add tension. Finishing faster than you started lifts the key. The same run always produces the same track, so a run you liked is never lost. WHERE YOUR RUNS COME FROM - Health Connect or Apple Health, depending on your phone - GPX, TCX or JSON files exported from other apps Heart rate is optional. Runphony works without it. SHARE IT Export your track as a video built from your own run — the route you drew, your phase timeline and your stats, animated in your choice of style: cassette tape, retro console, comic panel, cosmos, scrapbook or neon pulse. MUSIC STYLES Choose the instrument palette your run is played with — Lo-fi, Synthwave, Ambient, Cinematic, EDM, Rock, Jazz, Chiptune or the default set. The mapping to your run stays the same; the character changes completely. FREE AND PREMIUM Free includes a preview of every track you generate, one music style, your most recent runs and watermarked video export. Premium unlocks: - Full-length tracks instead of a preview - All music styles - All video export styles, without a watermark - App themes - Unlimited history - Cloud backup of your library - Raw audio file export - Access to premium features added later PRIVACY Your music is generated on your device. Health data is read only, never written, and never used for advertising or sold to anyone. Runphony contains no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your runs stay on your phone unless you turn on cloud backup with a Premium subscription. You can delete your account and everything stored with it from inside the app. Runphony is not a medical device and does not provide medical, health or training advice. Distance, pace and heart rate come from the app and device that recorded your workout. Premium is an auto-renewing subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings after purchase.
