Hiccup......then read
Really enjoying the past issues and looking forward to future issues. One hiccup though was when downloading some of the issues the whole screen blinked for a few seconds and then I lost everything including photos, pages, keynotes.... Everything. Do not know if it was the install app glitch or download issue glitch or iPad glitch. After the back-up restore I am back to downloading and reading the back issues.

Enjoyable digital magazine
Rural Heritage is informational as well as entertaining. I am very interested in draft animals and Rural Heritage stirs that interest. I enjoy reading the articles on resurgence of using drafts on smaller farms. It is also interesting the uses that they are being put to in areas where a machine footprint is not desired. The aspects of using draft animals are becoming lost. My father tells me stories of the days when his father and grandfathers trained 20 mule teams. They raised percheron and percheron crosses and only trained mules. My dad tells of the broodmare barn and the different teams that they used. RH also gives links, sources and materials for the art of using the draft horse, a one resource place to get information.

Grass Roots
Where do I start ! When talking about rural heritage every aspect is great. The best part about Rural Heritage is that it is a diamond in the rough. I have been a subscriber to many magazines for some time now and was interrested in them but never was able to see myself in them sort of speak. I was not able to afford the big hitches and picture perfect farm always shown in those mags. I stumbled across rural heritage 6yrs ago or so, I knew that it was awsome from the get go as i couldn't stop reading it. It was about people making the most out of what they had not the newest invention that made work a whole easier. All the different articles with real people and real issues i can relate to. I was 24 yrs. old at this time and lived in a city. I was craving my rural roots and lived them through the articles in the magazine. I could not afford my dream farm but was definately enitced by the magazine and finally was given a chance to have my own farm. I jumpin as soon as i could. Now I am a at least a part time farmer with an in-town job lol ! kids love it, wifes loves it and i love them for the loving the life style. Its not an easy life style but Rural Heritage is always there to show you that you are not the only one with a farm consisting of a few chickens, a pig and an ole dog and some kids who like to get dirty for fun. Dirty hands keep a clean mind is the way it goes I think. Well keep it real RH and thank you for the magazine.
