About
Based on the old French board card game Mille Bornes (1954), the predecessor of which was the American Touring (1906).
I transferred the functionality into the format of an arcade machine, drawing design inspiration from a Soviet arcade cabinet found at an abandoned military base.
The atmosphere is complemented by "oldies" music from the early 20th century. These are authentic recordings from vintage vinyl records that have undergone digitization and remastering.
The global goal of the game, just like it used to be in arcade machines, is to take first place in the high score list. In Rusty Miles, to achieve this, you need to have the highest balance of virtual bucks. To get them, participate in races. But don't spend it all on modifications for your car (some of them can be very expensive).
You can choose from a list of available matches and start instantly, or create your own trips with individual settings for distance and turn time limit. As well as create private games for friends.
Although the game is simple at first glance, there are many nuances in its rules. For example, you can't crash a car if it's not moving, or cause damage to the engine if a protection card has been applied to it.
But don't think about the rules, start the race and you'll figure it out as you go. See you on the roads of Rusty Miles!
*The game is fully accessible for blind and partially sighted individuals utilizing VoiceOver.
