3 years since the last update!!
So I was provided with a Ryobi Inspection Scope that requires a SMARTPHONE to be used, since the phone screen is how you view what the camera picks up. I have not been able to use my scope for more than the 3 years since the last update. To be honest my company wasted their money on a product that pretty much has become obsolete and no longer working. It is disappointing to spend money on products or brands that don’t stand behind their product.

Scope problems
I’ve had that Ryobi inspection scope for a couple years now and every time I go to try and use it it’s very difficult. It never wants to connect properly to the phone I’ve tried it with Wi-Fi I’ve tried it with data it is very frustrating does anybody know how to fix this.

Never buy Ryobi!
As a tradesman, I am the unfortunate owner of several Ryobi app supported products that I regret purchasing, because Ryobi never supports their apps after they are released!
So if you have purchased a Ryobi product designed to work with their app, be prepared for utter disappointment when your phones OS is updated, because your Ryobi app will NEVER be updated and will probably not work correctly if it even runs at all!
Ryobi is all about getting products out the door, but keeping them running is not even on their agenda! :-(

They stopped supporting it so my tool is useless
I will NEVER buy another Ryobi tool as long as I live. I had bought the scope which uses your phone to display a picture. It’s absolutely useless without the app. It fires up displays a blank page and the phone crashes. I tried it on multiple phones so I know it isn’t my particular phone. I’m using iOS 15 with a 13Pro but even a 15 didn’t work. Never buy Ryobi.

App Won’t Load
Bought this too a few years ago, now the app hasn’t been updated in 4 years and won’t even load. When you tap the icon, it starts then instantly crashes. What a waste of money. Don’t buy Ryobi.
App does’t load
As other have stated, this app no longer loads on iPhone. Will open and crash immediately. It will run on iPad but not iPhone. Not the most convenient.
Non functional app
App used to work fine but now no longer works, can’t even open the app. Essentially any tool that requires the app to function is now useless like my scope
Doesn’t work anymore
I have a still functioning inspection scope that won’t work bc they haven’t updated their certificate for the app. It still works in an old phone that hasn’t been updated for couple years. Essentially is as if they stole my tool. I paid for it but they’re keeping me from using by not having a functioning app. At least could have sold to a third party app or something. Frustrated

Needs update
I bought the inspection camera and at the time it worked great with my phone but now just because they are to lazy to update the app my camera is a useless piece of plastic. Please update! People have spent considerable money on the tools that go with this that are now obsolete!

App Crashes
App doesn’t even load. Crashes.
Used to work
3 stars because this used to work on my old iPhone. Even though it says it’s comparable with my new iPhone 15 using iOS 17.3, it is not. The app force shuts down as soon as I open it. I deleted the app and reinstalled it without success. I also restarted my phone and it still doesn’t work. Also my wife tried the app on here iPhone 14 and still no success. I won’t be buying any more Ryobi products that use a phone app.

Inspection camera waste of money
This would be a negative rating if it was available. I bought my Ryobi inspection camera 2 years ago and haven’t used it in about a year. I upgraded my phone since then and now the app isn’t supported with my new phone. Now I have a like new inspection camera that isn’t worth squat. I email Ryobi and it clear to my they could care less. No more Junk Ryobi products for me.

App stopped working
I use the moisture meter doing basement inspections and it worked quite well. Suddenly the app stopped working. When I go to open it, it just shuts down completely. This is very recent. May have something to do with the iOS upgrade.
Crashes immediately on iOS 17
No updates in 2 years means I’ve got a useless piece of hardware now.
