Ryze: Wake Up Early Every Day

Ryze is an alarm clock that will not turn off until you have proved you are out of bed. No snooze button. No slide to dismiss. The alarm rings, you get a mission, and the ringing stops when the mission is done. WHY IT WORKS Sleep inertia is strongest in the minute right after the alarm — which is exactly the minute you use to decide whether to get up. Ryze takes that decision away. By the time the mission is finished you are standing up, your heart rate is up, and going back to bed has stopped being an option you are seriously considering. TEN MISSIONS • Push-ups, sit-ups, jumping jacks — recorded and checked by the camera • Photograph your empty bed — proof you actually left it • Find an item — Ryze names something and you go and photograph it • Photograph the sky, or step outside and touch grass — daylight, the strongest signal your body clock has • Read a Bible verse or your own affirmation out loud — Ryze listens • Solve three quick math problems IT RINGS EVEN ON SILENT Ryze rings through the alarm system built into iOS, so it sounds even with the phone on silent and a Focus on. IT DOES NOT GIVE UP Slide to stop and you get quiet, not forgiveness. Ryze rings again until the mission is finished. EVERYTHING IS CHECKED ON YOUR IPHONE Photos and clips are checked on the device and deleted immediately. Nothing is uploaded, stored or shared, and we never see them. Read-aloud missions use Apple's speech recognition, on-device wherever the device supports it. Missions that need no camera and no microphone are always available. STREAKS THAT SURVIVE A REAL LIFE Every morning you finish adds a day. Keep going and you earn rest days — mornings you have decided to sleep in, which your streak carries straight over. Sixteen badges mark the way from your first morning to a full year. BEDTIME APP LOCK Optional. Ryze can use Screen Time to close the apps that keep you up during the wind-down hours you choose, and open them again after your alarm. Ryze never sees which apps you use — iOS does the blocking. SIGN IN TO KEEP IT Sign in with Apple or Google and your streak, badges and alarms come back if you change phones. SUBSCRIPTION Ryze is a subscription. A free trial is offered to new subscribers where available. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and can be managed in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
