this app features virtually zero design. Ugly and clunky, disorganised and apathetic. South Africa deserves better from the state broadcaster. Get some help.

On the next upgrade can the developers look into rotating the app, currently you can only view the app on portrait on iPod, cannot read landscape, it should be readers choice shouldn’t be?

This app is amazing 😍
As a student that’s currently studying towards a degree that is relatively intertwined with current events, I was looking for a news app that posted regular news updates and I really appreciate that this app has everything that I wanted and more. It makes keeping up with current events so easy (I struggled with this a bit prior to finding this app). I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it also offers a variety of radio stations AND the SABC news channel. Being able to access all of this on my phone (all in the same app!!) is so convenient. I also really love the fact that it’s compatible with the Picture in Picture iPhone feature as it allows me to use my phone while watching broadcasts.

Drop Down Menu Update
The new update with a drop down menu option is nonsense. That drop down menu lags half the time and the other half of the time it doesn’t work. What an unnecessary update.

Livid that I’ve wasted 2 hours this morning on multiple devices just trying to access some local English news sources I thought were reliable 😡😰😡😡🤬😤!

SABC NEWS APP
Contrary to other ratings, this is a most unreliable news app. Despite having excellent WiFi, the SABC News App gets stuck for hours without updating the news items. Other apps selecting SA news are far more reliable and informative.
A good word: the radio channels are a pleasure catering for a wide spectrum of interest.
Not so good: Unfortunately, SABC TV News has become stereotypical.
The SABC news app and the TV News need reviewing.

Can we also have version for Apple TV
App reading my clipboard
Whenever I open the app I get a message (from the new iOS 14 functionality) that SABC has read the content of my clipboard. I regard this as a privacy violation as there is no need for the app to be reading this.
Radio streaming
It needs to be able to stream radio while on background or in locked screen.
No Apple TV app
Poor quality as I cannot watch on my Apple TV as they have not made an app available for it yet.

Easiest way to listen to sa radio
Kade bengifuna indlela elula ukulalela uKhozi fm la eKapa ngoba umsakazo walo awufinyeleli la emoyeni, so this is a great, neat and tidy app to do that. It’s also convenient for news and live broadcasts like le coronavirus inkulumo kaRamaphosa izolo

I have no challenges with my app. I’ve been using this app in New York to stream my favorite shows without any hustles!
